MSS110 mini working with intermittent WiFi hotspot without needing to reset each plug each time.
This is a quick review of one aspect of the Meross MSS110 mini smart plug (bought as a 2 pack). For reasons of a somewhat nomadic lifestyle I use these 2 mini plugs with an echo dot 3rd gen on a WiFi network from my mobile's hotspot. The plugs are switched on and off "at the wall" regularly. The WiFi hotspot is turned on and off frequently and the mobile is often out of the house. I find that the smart plugs are working as intended without needing to reconnect them individually to the WiFi... they take 30s to a minute to reconnect automatically when my WiFi hotspot is turned on again and then everything works. The reason for this review is that there is an identical looking meross mini smart plug, the MSS210mini, where a few reviewers reported that if their WiFi signal went down they had to go around to each plug to "reconnect" them (whatever that meant) . If this is true that would be problematic for use with an occasional WiFi hotspot. Note that I cannot speak for the MSS210 directly, only what the reviewers reported...There didn't seem to be reviewers reporting a similar problem with the MSS110 mini (this plug I'm reviewing) so I risked it, paid 90p more, and I can report that intermittent WiFi connection isn't causing a problem for these plugs... they just conveniently work.Basically I'm writing the review relevant to my use case which I was searching for before I purchased them yesterday...

Reliable, smaller than the standard version and easy to install
I have been using the Meross standard plugs for some time for control of our low-level lighting and Christmas lights. I have found them to be good quality and reliable once installed. Installation has sometimes been an issue as some of our standard plugs didn't play well with the Android app. However, using an Apple device for software registration cured this after which they worked with Android. These mini plugs are much smaller and the software installation is a lot better - fewer steps, quicker and more reliable. Use with Alexia is also easy. I can't now think why I would want to buy a standard size plug. The Mini version is much better.

Excellent Wireless Plug Adaptor
Purchased this item to replace an aging remote control activated socket and product is excellent. Does exactly what it says. Point to note is this particular model requires 2.4 Ghz WiFi broadcasting so if your router only supports 5 Ghz then you will need to get an alternative model. One thing I only found out today is that product can be accessed whilst you're away from your home. I switched on my external Xmas lights and when I got home they were in full glory - handy if you want to use it to activate internal lamps to make it look like you're home, whilst you're away. Will definitely buy additional units.

Easy to use with Alexa
Wife thinks I'm a magician because we can turn on and off all the lights in the kitchen, including the plinth lighting just by speaking to Alexa. We even do all the xmas trees either verbally or on a timer. These units are so small they fit in anywhere. I highly recommend and if I had more lights I'd buy more of this brand straight away.

Simple, Easy, and works well!
Nothing to complain about for a really good price. Integrates brilliantly with Alexa, and very very simple to set up. Have used them for a variety of reasons and help me be much lazier than previously!

Meross smart plugs
Easy to setup after downloading the Meross app. Also easy to use on the Meross app, just press the on/off button for the appliance you require. If you have multi users you need to have one account & multiple guests/users. Not tried with Alexa yet.

Not easy to use
These are small and neat devices (Meross Mini Plug, set of 4), but not that easy to set up. I followed instructions but at first devices not recognised by the app/phone, had to be added manually via wifi. Eventually got all 4 plugs working OK, linked them to Alexa and the app, it took about an hour of trial and error. My main interest is for home security and I want to get them to turn off on at specific or random times, but the app only turns them on and off. Alexa is not very forthcoming on how or if one can automate turning them on/off, either. She will turn them on or off on voice command, but setting up a schedule is a bit of a mystery to me, and maybe is not possible, which limits the usefulness of the plugs greatly.
