Overall worth it
My daughter absolutely loves this. It is made out of a smooth plastic, that is easy to wipe clean. The paint job on the plastic is decent for a plastic toy. It is a little difficult getting the cake pieces out of the cake dish with the cake server because of the lip on the cake dish. The cake comes with 6 pieces but only 4 plates and forks. The tiara is really cute but the comb does not work well and will not stay in my daughters hair. Overall, I am pretty happy with the product. There is room for improvement, but for a fairly cheap children's toy it is worth the price.

Great gift! Kids love!
Older grandkids played with this a TON! Loved having pretend birthday parties. I recently bought for 18 month old and he loves it too! I went back specifically for this design/brand.

Disappointed with new packaging
This was a birthday gift for my 3 year old daughter who loves playing birthday. She absolutely loves this set. I'm very pleased with it as well. It is a very well-made, nice, sturdy set of toys. The candles are rubbery, everything else is hard plastic. It all has a quality feel to it. The crown works best when her hair is in a pony tail. If you're looking for a gift for a 3 year old girl, get this. ***Update*** I bought another one of these for my daughter's friend's birthday, and there has been a big change in the packaging, making it no longer ideal for gift giving. It used to come in a pretty big box with a plastic front, so you could see what's inside. Now the box is much smaller, and you can't see the contents. Disappointed. Picture is of new packaging.

Awesome cake set!
Perfect for my 3 year old granddaughter. I had to improvise cakes and candles for her babies when she came to visit. This cake set is exactly what she needed and we play with it all the time.
