Review: Almost the perfect jerky gun! - This jerky gun works as advertised, easy to use, and clean. If you have operated a caulking gun, the experience is very similar. The one issue I have with this unit is when the plunger gets to the end of its travel. product is still in the extruder tip, so I have to disassemble the jerky gun to finish extracting the product. There should be a tool to assist with this to avoid having to use my fingers to finish dispensing the jerky. I do not believe this issue is isolated to this brand, it just seems like an obvious oversight in the design. I generally use about a pound and half of prepared ground meat, and this holds this amount with ease. I am happy with this purchase. It has metal parts where required which should provide long life. I do not recommend submerging the plastic ram tool in water long for cleaning, as mine takes on water, and will slowly drain over several days.

A: The jerky gun cap is made of plastic.  Nozzlles and jerky gun cannon are made of 304 ssl, handle frame is made of aluminium.

A: I clean mine by hand.

**Q: What size casings do you buy for the double barreled round tip?**
A: We didn't use casings

**Q: How large is this extruder, 56, 57 mm?**
A: The tube diameter is 51mm. If the diameter is larger, then you need more pressure. For example, when the diameter increases to 60mm, you need almost 1.5 times pressure to squeeze the handle. When you make 5lb jerky gun, your joints will ache.
