can they be repaired when there is a small hole in them.

Repairs are not very successful as they continue to ''leak'' air. The cushion then needs to be pumped every single day & holds air for shorter periods of time as you go along. It is a lot less stressful to purchase a new cushion; you have peace of mind that the user is getting the best care possible. Hope this is helpful.

Found a pump on the road after our bin collection, possibly fallen from someone's bin or discarded. Is it safe to dispose of it in my own bin?

If it is the pump that comes with the cushion then yes as it is made of hard cardboard and not plastic and is a push pull pump so no gases ect safe to dispose of in waste bin

How long is the guarantee?

Sorry I can't remember how long the guarantee was for as it's nearly 4yrs ago I bought it when my husband was poorly with Cancer who passed away.
