Stagg SLA-FCH Wall-mounted Clarinet/Flute Stand

Thanks to the reviewer who explained there are two options to fit I saved a tonne of time as I’d been v confused up to then!! Does what it says - easy to fit once you have a good think about it! Looks lovely! Could do with better instructions but otherwise worth buying.

The stand itself is robust and sturdy. There are two ways the stand can be used: 1) mounted to the wall (which judging from the reviews is the reason most of us have purchased it), and 2) slid into a slat wall (i.e. for display in a shop).Here is where the issues lie. Unfortunately the stand comes assembled for use on a slat wall (option 2) and the screws are SO TIGHT. We ended up having to cut one screw off using an angle grinder to remove the slat wall backplate.The screws for wall mount option (option 1) are included in a little bag with the mount. The issue is that the heads of the screws intended to anchor the backplate into the wall are too high, and the screws (one of which has to be cut off) that secure the stand to the backplate are too short. Essentially this renders the backplate useless.We have successfully mounted the stand (without the backplate) into the wall. It caused ALOT of faff to figure this out and the wall behind is like honeycomb from all of the unnecessary holes. There is nothing wrong with the mount itself but the way that it is packaged, the screws etc provided, and the instructions given are poor and illogical. I wouldn't recommend purchasing this unless you are well versed in DIY and know your way around power tools.

Looks very smarty! Easy to mount, strong fixture, and comes with the required screws and wall plugs. Bear in mind that it comes with two options for mounting so you won't need all provided parts. This caused me a lot of confusion and would have saved me a lot of headache if I'd known in advance!

Fixes well. The only problem is that the clarinet is held close to the wall, so there is a risk that it will be knocked or scratched by the wall when inserting it into the holder. I ended putting a lining on the wall behind to protect against this.

On the first one we got the front was screwed to the back so tightly that we couldn't remove it without damaging the screws. However they sent a replacement very speedily and the new one is fine and it was easy to fix to the wall and does the job briliantly!

Very good stand. Fixed to my sons wall so he can practice his clarinet daily without the faff of dismantling and putting it away.

One of the screws was extremely tight, so much so, we couldn’t unscrew it and the screw material was so poor that it eroded under the force of the screw driver…. It eventually became imposible to unscrew it and the part was useless
