really easy to use, super sharp and can take of the smallest slivers of nail and doesnt make a noise when cutting. Our dachshund is like a greasy weasel when it comes to cutting nails and she let me cut both front feet without too much fuss. On her back feet though her nails are more curved so these clippers aren't suitable for those due to the position of the cutting blades but for normal dogs and not weirdos like mine they are excellent :)

This will be an essay because I'm so happy! ❤️ I had Googled and Googled because I have tried EVERYTHING possible on my dog's nails. Every style of clipper. Files. Dremels. Vet. Groomer. She is a rescue greyhound X malinois and there's only one vet on the planet she will let near her, and she won't let her near her feet. It took me 2 years to be able to touch her feet! She's almost 11 and too old to sedate, and I cannot cut her nails the usual horizontal way because she screams as her nails are sooo thick, it squeezes her fingers. Vertically, they're nigh on IMPOSSIBLE to cut. We've muddled through over the years doing an occasional manual file and lots of walks on concrete which has so far been fine. I've been very unwell recently so we've only been able to do short walks, and her big fat back feet nails have got so long. I know it'll have been uncomfortable for her and I'm sick of wasting money and returning things that just don't do what they say they'll do - they just don't cut or file. I'm quite strong but products either don't cut or squash my dog's nails and she freaks out, and I don't want her not to trust me as I'm her person. I opened these clippers today and thought here we go, there's no way these will work. They *looked* small and flimsy. They are not!! THEY WORKED!!! 🥹✂️ I CANNOT believe it! I'm SO SO grateful!! I've just bought another one for the cats, rabbits and ferrets to share. Honestly I could cry. For the first time in 11 years my girl has laid down and let me do ALL 10 nails. No crying, no trying to bite the clippers, no running away, no shaking. Please see photos - the first one shows her index finger nail is as thick as mine is wide!! 😩 I am seriously impressed! 🥹✂️🥰

I adopted an old rescue dog who had terribly long nails poor boy and I had to take him into the vet nurse to get them clipped as he wouldn’t let me near them. While I was there I got a lecture about proper nail maintenance so now I am on a mission with all 3 dogs. They are thrilled as you can imagine. Got these on the nurses recommendation and for what they need to do, they are great. Very sharp so they make a clean cut and you can look for whether you are getting to the quick. They are also sharp enough to take small slices off rather than one big chunk and hope for the best. They don’t make much noise and as they are so sharp there is no ‘crunching’ of the mail so the dogs are happier with them. The only 2 problems are with The kind of peripheral bits of the clipper. 1. The guard is loose and there’s no way to tighten it, so if you are trying to use it (I’ve stopped using it now as I found it made it harder to see) it swivels around when you don’t want it to. 2. The thing that holds the clippers closed when not in use also swivels round when you don’t want it to, locking the clippers closed when you have just made a cut which is very annoying when you don’t have a third hand to unlock it. But, these are fairly minor annoyances and these are the clippers I would recommend to anyone looking for a good pair.

It’s not very often I write reviews but if anyone like me was worrying over their dogs nails then these clippers are life changing,I have whippets and a saluki x greyhound,as other sighthound owners will know their nails grow at a rapid rate compared to other breeds and no amount of roadwork keeps them down,one of my whippets is extremely anxious of life in general and trying to do his nails has had me in tears,the noise of other clippers terrified them,I’d manage to cut one nail then I couldn’t get near to do anymore,I even purchased a dremel and it was £40 down the drain as with it being so noisy it was worse then the clippers,I resigned myself to having to pay £15 at the groomers every 4-5 weeks,during lockdown I was literally loosing sleep as I was worried they would cause themselves an injury while running around with long nails,the millers forge are the best clippers I have ever used,unlike other makes they are completely silent when you cut,it’s easy to see precisely where the blade will cut unlike other brands that you have to guess at the cut line,I’ve managed for the first time in years to trim all my 3 boys without any fuss,the guard helps with my saluki as his nails are all black and very thick,the clippers are tiny and font look robust at all but they are so easy to hold and cut like a hot knife through butter,they come with a lifetime guarantee do that says a lot,couldn’t be more pleased for me and my boys

Great clippers, they just glided through the nail in 1 clean snip, and my dauchnaund has thick nails. It cut though so easily it almost didn't make any noise, compared to my old ones which made a pop noise and added to my dog being scared of nail clipping. With these clippers I think I can train my dog to tolerate nail clipping.

Great at first with the safety latch giving you the confidence to cut the dogs nails without going too far down. Not the easiest to grip and after a couple of uses became quite flimsy

These were sharp and did not split the nail. Cut through like butter.... But I could not use them on her back paws because she is small and they don't open all the way, so I could not get them around the curve if her nail. I would recommend for a large breed but I'm returning mine.
