Great bit of kit. Seedlings love it. 😊

The controller is a bit large for the setup.. Not sure how long it will last or how efficient it is.. time will tell.

I am using these for the heating pads under my snakes' tanks and they are working well. They only go up to 108 degrees so keep that in mind.

I have several of the standard non controllable heat mats that work, but they only heat to about 6-8° over ambient temp. I got these specifically for cactus seedlings and they work well. I’m able to set a temp well above ambient and they’ll reach and maintain that temp giving me faster seedling growth rate and excellent germination rates. The controller makes it nice that you can plug it in with the light timer and have the heat off at night once seedlings get a bit older to produce a more natural day/night temp swing, this makes cacti seedling more hardy. I do several thousand cacti seedling in fall so they can stay in the germination tents over winter before I need the tents for spring veggies and these mats give me great results. The Ferocactus wislizeni seedlings in the included picture are 28 days from seed sowing date and are 2x the size they’d be with the old heat mats, they are pencil eraser size at less than a month from sowing. I’ll be buying a few more of these before long to replace the old style mats.

They work great! I purchased 2 for keeping my very expensive lithium batteries for my solar system warm. The batteries should never go below freezing. I built a insulated box and place the mats under the batteries and set the temperature to 10 degrees C. They draw very little current for what they produce. I used two for redundancy if one fails. I cannot express enough how well they work and use very little power. The controllers show a temp difference of about .4 degrees so they are not perfectly accurate but for the price they are awesome. user friendly to set up. Build quality looks good. Highly recommended.
