AquaBond is a warm water-soluble Fabric with a sticky front. AquaBond, It's wonderful for appliqué, creative collages and 'thread scarves and shawls'

The front (or top) of the fabric is coated in a re-positional soluble glue to hold fabric or threads in position. You can create simple or complex designs by using a computer and inkjet printer to print a computerised design directly onto the fabric.

To appliqué, make a duplicate of your design, cut out the patterns and lay them on the sticky surface. Machine or hand stitch over the pieces and joints ensuring the stitches overlap

Washing out
To dissolve completely immerse in warm water and agitate if possible. Alternatively hold under a slow running warm tap. Dissolve time depends on the amount of soluble material used and the density of the embroidery. When dissolving completely it is very important that all the stitches are well joined otherwise the piece may fall to bits! So embroider in as many directions as possible.

Place on newspaper to drip and then move to a safe warm place to hasten the drying process.

Do experiment to get a feel of how the fabric will work for you and always test a small section first! Hotter water will hasten the dissolve time.
