The hardcover of this book is amazingBought it second hand and looks greatThe story was good just didnt love soo much how the romance grew in the endbut for sure will read the next one

The first copy I ordered arrived very damaged and printed wrong, the pages were different sizes and the cover was ripped. The replacement I requested arrived a bit damaged as well.

The Hurricane Wars (Book 1) by Thea GuanzonRating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Recommend: 10/10Give me ‘A Moonsoon Rising’ now! I could not take my eyes off this book, I took my time reading this, I really wanted to savour it I didn’t want it to end😭 It had one of the most slowest of burns ever, like I mean TILL THE VERY END kinda slow! The use of dialogue between the two lead characters is definitely what carried the book, the banter was bantering! Overall there is a few beautiful writing in here especially when the author tells backstories & I loved the dual pov’s it really shaped the book together and showed both of the characters feelings which gave depth to them. I had no clue this was a Reylo fanfic, but when I found it, it definitely is very much similar as Rey (Talasyn) is the light and Kylo (Alaric) is Dark.‼️Slight Spoilers Below 👇🏼Can I just say, I absolutely hated the Queen of Nenavar, Urduja. I could not stand her, shes so mean & she only cares about her line of succession whereas it was told in the story that they people of Nenavar used to worship the Gods but then the monarch was formed and people just followed them. I say TO HELL WITH THE QUEEN. I was also very mad at Elgabi, dude got his long lost daughter back and never supported her because he’s a mummies boy.Alaric telling Talasyn to come with him after that battle was so Kylo Ren coded. I love how he made so much effort to get to know her & try to talk to her after seeking advice from his knight gaurd, he’s very mindful of Tala’s feelings 😭🥹 I love how he cared about the animals even tho hes a war criminal, hes cutesy & demure. He got so upset when they shot the dragon & in the end when they captured the bird😭 I know he was hella devastated, but hes not going to show his emotions in front of his murderer father.Talasyn needs to get her priorities straight, she needed others to make decisions for her in places where she really needed to stand up for herself, like she does in front of Alaric, like girl YELL AT URDUJA, FIGHT HER. I did like the advice Vela gave to her, but I still felt Talasyn wasn’t convinced, because she felt guilty being tied to Kesath. But hey I can’t blame her she didn’t really have a choice most of the time, shes still badass.The dragons were the best part of the book I believe, they gave the vibe of Avatar the Last Airbender dragons (thats what I imagined in my head) when they came out after Talasyn went to the Nenavar seeking asylum for Sardovia. I wanted to see more of them, I do feel Tala will bond with one as well as Alaric maybe since he is now consort.
