Works - but in an odd way
Just got a Kia Sportage and wanted to hook up my iphone to play music (but without spending a fortune on Kia's own!). Does the job, displays the track/artist info on the screen and you can skip tracks from the steering wheel. You can't use the iPhone interface when plugged in - you have to use the Kia's controls. If using random play then it resets everytime you turn it off or take a call - but that's probably the Kia interface rather than the lead. One other thing - if you unplug your iphone but leave the lead plugged in as I did once you could have issues with it overriding the radio while it tries to load the (unconnected) ipod. Made me think I had problems with the car until I figured it out.

This was significantly cheaper than the official model, and does allow me to control my music from my steering wheel/stereo, so no complaints really.There are problems, but I think they are with Kia rather than the cable. Tracks play in alphabetical order only, and putting random on seems to have different effects at different times (but then, that would be random, wouldn't it). You can't play anything else via this cable, eg. podcasts, radio etc.As a result of these 2 problems I have returned to using an in car charger plus a standard aux connector, as it gives me more flexibility, even if I can't use the controls on the steering wheel.For info: I have a C'eed Diesel (Eco) 2010 model. Perhaps it works better on other/newer models.

A poor quality copy of the original.
The apple connector was inoperative,and did not fit my I-phone. The overall quality of the unit was poor. Do not buy this.

Works Fine - no issues
£80 or so for the Kia version against less than 10 for this. No contest. It works perfectly well. You can't create a genius playlist with it, but doubt if you can with the Kia one either. As others have said if the cable could be a little longer it would be ideal, but I'm splitting hairs with this criticism.

As described, works with the steering wheel controls on my Kia Sportage and displays the song name, artist & album on the touchscreen. Seems a sturdy cable. Time will tell.
