Don’t know why this torch gets negative comments?Great price for a decent product, battery life good between charges, nice bright beam, connecting leads, plastic carry case. Great value & would highly recommend you get one.

I write this review based on decades of my experiences in a professional occupation, as a consumer, property owner, motorist and raising a family.Accuracy and honesty in my reviews is absolute with facts, not propaganda, item pamphlet reproduction.I bought this rechargeable torch through Amazon in December 2018 at a cost of £14.95. I am a prime member so delivery was included. I am unable to say what if any delivery charges apply to non prime members as there is no information.The torch was delivered an a small hard plastic case containing a short USB micro lead to enable charging.A cycle handlebar mounting for the torch.The torch with a rechargeable battery.A plug in recharge 3 pin plug (in several pieces)NO INSTRUCTIONSThe hard box has several snap fixing on the side to secure the box closed.POOR connection plug on the torch for the purposes of charging. The cable is clearly of cheap materials and poor quality.Connection between the two on my example (micro to micro) is very tight. The normal USB "A" connection was a fine and good fit to my charging plug.The end of torch cover for the usb points ia a very flimsy piece of white rubberised plastic. It kales several tries to make it stay in place to cover the USB points.There is, quite simply no way that this end cover will keep water away for the USB plug points so if walking in the rain you will have to keep the end covered.There are NO instructions with my torch so I do not know what the claimed charge point abilities are.I have not attached this to any other device in order to check out it's "powerpoint" capability.I live on the outside edge of a small coastal town where I am in a position of no ambient light within a couple of hundred yards from my front door.Thus any form of light stands out as very good or not as the case may be.This torch with a full and complete charge only minutes before being switched on gives a light,(at brightest) that is fairly comparable with similar sized torches powered by fresh AAA batteries.The comparable range, applies to all except the flashing type modes via the Brightest and Dimmest settings.Tested particular points at the same time and the same points for focus at differing distances. Result equals all pretty much the same.The body appears to be made of several metal pieces.The focus of the light is created by sliding the front piece in which the bulb is mounted, forward and backward which either tightens or spends the light beam.The spread of the light beam is very broad, creating a large circle of light. At tightest, the bulb pattern becomes visible.That said, the same results came with the cheaper battery model.The 3 pin plug which allows USB connection for charging was in several pieces and thus unfit for use.I have a large number of this type alongside actual wired in USB charging points through which I charged the torchOverall, I am disappointed with the torch because of the USB end cover. It is quite easily the worst that I have seen on a chargeable torch and WILL, eventually be a problem because the USB point will be vulnerable to damp or dirt.I will enquire to return mine as being an item of disappointing quality alongside the defective 3 pin.

I love this torch, it's really good value and ...so manly!I bought the 'fully loaded' full version which comes with some nice accessories, making this torch stand out from the rest.The first thing I noticed after putting the torch together was that it's very, very bright (like 800 lumens bright) and the rechargeable battery lasts ages without needing to constantly recharge.I love the fact that it comes with UK plug adaptor for charging the battery (no annoying 2pin euro/3pin UK conversion issues here). And although I won't be needing the regular battery/cradle thanks to the rechargeable option, it's still good to know there's one for backup. Same goes for the clamp - although I might end up using it to mount the torch somewhere in the garden, or even on my bike etc, again, nice touches and even a bit of inspiration.The holster looks pretty cool - I can see how this would come into play if someone was out hiking/camping in the dark or maybe working in a garage as it just fits so easily onto a belt.The torch and all the bits fit neatly nicely into the compact carry box which has foam lining/padding inside, helping to keep things organised and shielded from from wear and tear.Thanks Polarcat for a great product - looking forward to seeing what other manly surprises you have up your sleeve :)

This is a fantastic torch, It is the the second one I have bought from Polarcat, I was gutted to lose my last one. As an NHS Rapid Responder In dark rural Somerset it is essential to be able have a bright, hard wearing zoomable torch for finding patients houses and being able to see safely at night (the NHS torches we are issued aren’t half as good).Having an emergency power bank feature is also very useful just to give a mobile a bit of a boost when you need it.When I contacted the company with a small issue they were so attentive and very kind and immediately sorted my problem out and even donated a couple more torches which I have given to my colleagues, Thank you.Would not hesitate to buy another one

It was great when I first used it walking the dog early morning worst thing about it was even though I only used it about 30 minutes each day i had to charge it up because it kept losing its charge wouldn't be any good for using it for long periods now it won't charge now in the bin

Brilliant torch with great beam. Very good quality. If it had been fully waterproof it would have got full marks.

This is the second one I have bought the torch is great. I do recommend it unfortunately I had to send it back as the off/on button was stuck and would not switch off but i would still recommend it

HiThe unit stop working after I charge it I don’t understand why only pull the unit out the box then was not a contact number for you guys so Amazon refund me the money
