The gum rubber side (grey) has a very nice feel, it gives a lot of rebound similar to that of a kit snare drum where as the black harder side has a marching snare-like feel to it. It is excellent for performing all 40 of the standard rudiments and is quite enough to be used in places such as a bedroom it creates little noise even with hard strokes. It can also be used on any surface as the reverse side acts as a grip to stop it moving, while the actual pad absorbs all hits so the surface being played on wont take any damage. Overall an excellent product I would recommend it to any drummer as an essential pad above any on the market currently.

I’ve been a drummer for 40 years but this is my first practice pad. I’ve been using it for about six weeks now and I can’t overstate how useful this has been in improving my sticking technique. I’ve been doing 20 minutes or so every couple of days, mainly just single and double stroke rolls. The pad has an excellent natural feel and bounce, very like a real snare drum. I’ve been placing it on a cushion or folded towel to reduce noise which works well. Definitely a highly recommended product.

Excellent quality. Very responsive to all drumstick types and playing styles. Portable. Sits well on snare drum stand. Perfect practice partner without annoying the neighbours!! Recommend.

This pad rocks. It feels a lot like a snare snare and it's really easy to use. It doesn't make much noise so I can always practice and not disturb the neighbors. Although there are two sides, I prefer the lighter grey side. I don't find that the darker side has much of a difference besides that it is a tad louder and has a higher pitched hit, but both sides work excellent.

Being a drummer in a punk band I play fast with quick (fairly simple) fills etc. However as I am self taught and just tended to copy the drummers of bands I like, I never actually learnt proper rudiments. After talking to a mate I decided it was time I started practising some more "technical" routines. I can honestly say after owning it for a week or so I have learnt more than in the last year. It responds very realistically and doesn't annoy those in the house when you practise. Highly recommended for use every evening, I can definitely tell the difference already!

A real good, solid and weighty product. Has the benefit of being two sided, so you are really buying two for the price of one. There are a lot of cheaper ones available but they really don't make the mark and you will regret not buying one a bit better. You'll never regret buying this. It is well built, looks good, feels good and plays just like a real drum.

Thoroughly delighted with this pad! Although anything will struggle to beat Remo's 8" Ambassador head practice pad, the RealFeel is incredibly quiet and feels more real, the fuller the stroke. I was getting frustrated with the tuneable mesh head pads, that have a tiny window where they actually operate perfectly, and even then every strike of the pad brings a different pitch note. It feels in time but it sounded wrong. Plus they didn't stay in tune for long. The RealFeel gives your wrists a much better workout than the overly bouncy mesh heads. The conditions in which the RealFeel doesn't shine, is in cold temperatures, so if you leave it in the shed overnight in winter, your morning session on the gum surface may not have the bounce you expect. Feels like the stick's getting buried in the head. Don't leave it in the shed overnight.

Excelente producto, el precio es aceptable tomando en cuenta la marca y la calidad de manufactura y también en relación a los demás productos algunos demasiado costosos como el prologix.. El rebote de la baqueta es muy parecido al que tendrías en una tarola con el parche ajustado a nivel alto, el sonido es Bajo, cómodo y el peso es excelente por que así no se mueve, yo lo tengo sobre una tarola de 13 pulgadas y aunque no entra del todo no se mueve, esta genial!
