I love it. I feel like I have already reviewed it but I must have talked about it online somewhere. After the first two chapters I am totally there. It makes me wish I was Japanese. Then I would have grown up there and might have been lucky enough to live in the world described by Naomi. A theme throughout the book is her mothers Tokyo kitchen. It's amazing. I haven't even got to the end yet but I'm excited about it. This is not a diet book. It is a book about Japanese lifestyle. They are amazingly healthy and well fed. They have portion control down. It's eye opening and surprisingly (to anyone like me who knows little about Japanese food) they are not all about sushi. There are recipes dotted throughout the book. I haven't tried any yet but the ones I've read so far sound great. I would give this more than five stars if I could, it's that good. I thank the stars the Naomi's life has turned out the way it has because it means she wrote this book (in English) and we get to benefit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant *by M***L on 11 May 2013* If I were to recommend a book on healthy living to anyone, it would be this. Though the recipes are not all to my taste the book itself is a gem, the description of food, the attitude towards it and the underlying principals outweighs any book that recommends cabbage soup diets and champagne with every meal (though I wont name any particulars)It seems sad to me this book is not more popular than some of the others out there because even if Japanese food is not to your taste (though don't let that stop you trying them!) the book itself is inspiration enough to want to eat healthy, in fact never have I read a book that could make vegetables seems so tasteful,beautiful and exciting.My copy has definitly had a lot of love. I've even spoke to the authors themselves who, like in the book, do not come across as condensending, condemning or obsessive as some other authors tend to. Definitly a recommended read. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Ok read *by J***N on 5 July 2014* Not a bad read though there's not as much recipe as I would like it to have.
