THIS LIP STAIN HAS SAVED MY SANITY !
Seriously, this lip stain has saved me so much money, time, and effort. I used to wear lip liner every day because I felt like my lips were on the thinner side (especially when chapped), but I always hated how intense and overly precise lip liners looked. It felt like there was never a true in-between shade. It was always either brown or red. I eventually gave up on lip liner because touching it up constantly was annoying, and I was always losing my lip products. Then my mom showed me this lip stain, and I’ve never looked back. At first, I was like “eh, whatever” because there are so many gimmicky, all-the-same lip stains out right now. But she wanted me to try it since she has darker lips and was curious how it would show up on mine. So I tried it. AND SOMETIMES (perhaps more than sometimes) moms really know what they’re talking about. I have NEVER EVER gone back. I usually hate lip stains. They’re always some red, or berry TINT and I just wanted something natural with a hint of flush. Plus, most stains wear off in like an hour. But this one? I’ve repurchased it over and over again. For context, I love going out clubbing. I can apply this around 10 PM before heading out, and when I get home, it’s still on my lips. I usually leave it on my full lips for a minute, then “line” my lips with it like a lip liner for about five minutes. Sometimes I repeat that for more coverage. My go-to is the shade XOXO, but I’ve also tried Beautiful, Adore and Neon Rose. Those were super pigmented. XOXO is my favorite since it feels like my natural lip shade with a half a shade darker and more neutral in a sense to where it works like a contour. I feel like the shade “beautiful” was almost like XOXO but with a bit more “flushness” to it! A natural tone for sure but MORE coverage. Adore was similar in the way of a natural tone but a pink more on the pinkish side! && Neon Rose was a NEON pink and lasted so long I literally woke up the next morning and it was still there. I remember the first time I applied “Neon Rose” and I did it same way I did with XOXO, and the color lasted from the moment I finished my makeup (around 4am) to the moment before I went to bed to do my nighttime routine (6pm.) since then I know now if I want to use neon rose it needs to be like 5 seconds applied seriously. This product lets me go out without carrying a full makeup bag. No touch-ups, no worries about losing lip products at the club. Just throw it on before I leave, throw one lipgloss in my tiny purse and go. I took forever to write this review because every time I use it, I get so excited watching the magic happen that I forget to take a picture. Also, people complain about the peeling part, but who cares? I always just wipe it off. It’s not a big deal when the results are this good. You get so much bang for your buck, especially with bold shades. Yes, it can feel a little dry eventually, but even then it stays opaque and visible. And coming from someone who hates spending more than $5 on makeup or skincare, this is one of the very few exceptions I’ll make. It’s worth every penny. (Top picture is before applying the lip stain, and bottom picture is after applying and leaving the lip stain on for about 1 minute) I will never use another lip product again.

Yes
It's reasonably good. I was thinking the version I got would just be the stain as a lip gloss rather than a treatment, but it's not. I painted it on very thick and evenly, which ideally is done quickly because it will start to dry and patches will start to lift each time you swipe the brush over them. You're supposed to leave it on until it's dry and wipe with a damp cloth, but a thick layer took like 20 minutes to dry so it's not easy to fit into a busy morning. My lips had a lovely and vibrant stain afterwards. As a bonus, the color did not make my teeth appear yellow the way some red/pink colors do. The stain came out with pretty even shading across my lips and faded evenly too, painting it on thick and even is key. I did not apply gloss or anything over it and I don't think the stain would last long if I did. It was still slightly visible after 6 hours or so, and I'm thinking about trying it with a lip liner to increase longevity. Otherwise multiple applications would probably produce a really good result, but that would be a huge effort considering the 20 minute drying time. I should have also brought it out a little further over my natural lip lines as that would have created a fuller looking result on my thin little lips.

Very tricky application and uneven fading
This is an okay product. I wanted to love it. It looked so fun, and I was looking for a long lasting lip option to wear to my wedding...but for me, it was definitely not as long lasting as marketed, and they DEFINITELY need to do a much better job of explaining how to successfully apply the product. Pros: -did not feel as drying to me as other long lasting lip options. When you remove the purple mask, it feels like you're not wearing anything. I didn't test how it performs with a balm on top -it is transfer proof once applied properly and dry -the colors are beautiful and interesting. Cons: -Super tricky application. Not sure how people are saying "you just wipe off" the purple part and it's so easy. First of all, you need to apply thickly, evenly, and gently because the product starts to dry and lift with additional brush strokes as you're applying. So you have to be careful not to lift the product off as you're continuing to coat your lips. You also have to try and stay within the lip, which is somewhat challenging with the brush and if you have the rest of your makeup done, you might have to go back and clean up the purple a little bit around your lips. Then once you manage to have a thick even coat of product on, you let it dry. The dry time is a bit unclear to me with some people saying you can leave it on longer if you want a deeper/more intense color. I just left it on til I felt it was completely dry. You should also try to avoid smiling or moving your lips around too much with the purple mask on, because it will crack and that can create unevenness, I've found. Once it's dry, you can't just "wipe it off with a damp cloth." When I did that, I scrubbed patches of the stain off. Because you have to use enough force to remove the pesky dried up purple, but when you do that, you lift off the stain! Plus when you remove it this way, you're more likely to stain your fingers. If you want an even, beautiful result, my advice is to use damp Q tips. Once you're ready to remove the purple, run a Q tip under the sink for a second (the head has to be completely soaked) and then gently and precisely remove the mask. The Q tip should feel like it's gliding very easily and wetly across your lips with just enough even pressure to lift the purple, not scrubbing. Your lips should be wet. I've found that the Q tip allows you to be precise in removing all the pesky purple flecks, and you get the most even result this way without accidentally removing the stain. You'll go through several Q tips but you'll also avoid staining your fingers. Once you're done and your lips are dry, the stain actually looks pretty good and stays that way...until you eat, which brings me to my next point. -This stain won't survive long after a meal. Which is honestly expected. But this would be okay and acceptable if it faded evenly - it doesn't. The stain inevitably grabs onto some areas of your lips more than others, at least in my experience. And so when it starts to fade, you inevitably get patchiness. But then when you try to remove it, to avoid walking around looking like Aunt Gladys - it won't come off easy...which brings me to my next point -for me, the stain seems to grab really strongly onto the wet-dry boundary of my lower lip, creating a sort of stained line across the middle of my lower lip that won't come off for a couple days. I tried micellar water and aquaphor and then gave up caring. It's been slowly coming off. I wonder if this happens because I tend to nervously bite the skin in that area, which probably creates some long term irritation that the stain grabs onto more easily. So just something to keep in mind. All in all...the bottom line is that, despite my review this can be a great product, if you're willing to go through the hassle, if you love the color, and if you're not eating. I would have given this 3 or 4 stars if it faded evenly and weathered a meal a little bit better.

Wonderful product - a few things to know
This lip-stain is absolutely wonderful. Beautiful colors, great durability. I refused to wear lipstick in the past because I didn't like how accidentally transferable it can be (into a napkin, drinking glass, etc) This is a game - changer. I'm not good at make up, and I don't have any desire to wear makeup that is high maintenance, in terms of reapplication or any messiness or inconvenience at all. I'm basically just wanted a lip-stain that will look nice and stay put all day. This is it. A few notes. If you're like me, practice at least one before going anywhere. If you apply a line that looks a little crooked (the product can get a bit thick after a few uses do to air exposure, it's still great, but precision is key) make sure to correct it quickly. I recommend using a q tip. If you panic and use the tip of your finger, then you'll have people checking on you if you're bleeding the rest of the day. That's a bit of an exaggeration really, each time you wash your hands it'll fade a bit, bit I like to wait til right before I walk out of the house to do a final layer. You do have to wait until the layer of blue dried completely before removing for the color reveal. It's definitely buildable in terms of intensity. If you're not like me, and you have a steady hand and some experience, you'll probably have a smooth experience from the start. I'm deducting a star not because I don't absolutely love the product, but because it does tend to dry out a bit even when the container is completely closed. I think they need to change the design a bit, possibly add a rubber layer between the applicator and body of it, to compress when closed to create an air tight seal. This wouldn't bother me so much if the price point was lower, but I do find myself purchasing much more often then I'd like, due to the product drying out. I may start wrapping mine in a layer of Press N Seal when not in use. (Absolutely never accidentally leave it your vehicle console on a hot day, it'll be bone dry) I have had a little luck putting a few drops of alcohol, or water on a slightly gummy applicator -it gets gummy when it dries out) to get a few more uses - but be careful! The same problem in the design that causes air to get in, also will cause a completely liquid additive to leak out a bit around the seam that isn't air tight, so just have a paper towel nearby and check your hands for any staining - the quicker you wash them the better. I highly recommend exfoliating your lips first. If you have dry or chapped lips, it will cling to those areas more, and as your color fades throughout the day, the dry spots that pick up more color fade slower, so it's not an ideal situation - but I quick fix for this in a pinch is just to have a backup lip color (pigmented moisturizer type of lipstick) and you can rub a light layer on to help disguise the dry skin that's pigmented - which draws attention to it. Because this is a lip-stain - if the dry lip situation happens, you can't just rub the color off the dry skin parts, you gotta either scrub it off, disguise it or wait it out. The spray product that comes with it is great, but you don't need it. A damp paper towel will do. 2 last notes - double check your inner lip area and corners when removing the blue layer, if you're in a hurry that can be easy to overlook, and if it gets in your mouth, you might get an odd look or two if it makes it into your teeth. Second - make sure when removing, whether using a damp clothes or the spray, that you quickly clean away any of the liquid that comes in contact with the skin around your lips, or you'll look like a messy kid that's been drinking Kool aid. Overall - great product, please upgrade the the container design!

Pretty but doesn’t last
I have been using this lip stain for a few months and my opinion is mixed. This definitely does stain the lips in a beautiful color and I always put a gloss over it. It applies quite easily and I take if off with a baby wipe, as I have found it to work the best rather than a wet q tip or something else. It looks nice immediately after application and maybe for a few hours. But then it starts to look pretty bad in my opinion. I have included some pictures of how it looks before, during and after application. After a few hours you are left with either a very patchy looking color or only what looks like lip liner. I use this lip stain when I am attending something where I want to look nice but know I won’t have to have it on for hours upon hours, as I would not be comfortable with how it wears throughout an ENTIRE day. It is definitely not for true long wear in my experience. I will continue to use on occasion but I do not see myself repurchasing this.

A lip stain that really lasts
I am very happy with this lip stain, I purchased "Demure" by itself and "Whimsical" with the lip spritz. The pictures are of Demure. It's a liquid and goes on metallic blue. I didn't have to get the outline perfect, as you'll see in the pics, my natural lip line is irregular so it looks great. And, when removing, using the spritz lets you peel it off, easy peasy, no scrubbing. The spritz is a tiny bit sweet, so no funky taste on the lips, and it's got a little tingly effect that doesn't last but just a minute. I purchased one full kit with the spritz and one color by itself so I could use the spritz with both, it really improves removal, no irritation for this girl's ultra sensitive skin. The color left my lips looking natural, as if my lips are always that color, nothing indicates it's artificially applied color. Be careful getting the blue stuff on your fingers, it stains fingers too. I recommend using a balm because lips need moisture, but the color sticks and is long lasting, remains for the whole day. Great value because it works! So, if you are a no lipstick person, this is perfect because there's no leftover residue and if you are a lipstick or balm wearer, it's also perfect, just use a gloss or balm, and voila, instant beautiful lips.

Great coverage, safe for my sensitive skin, easy to try various shades
I love the Wonderskin brand of lip stains. They are very effective and don't take long to dry. Most of the colors I've tried start off as a shade of purple stain, so be careful leaving it on too long...they will make your lips look purple if you do. When they suggest 30-60 secs...believe them! I just use the stain and put on some kind of lip moisturizer immediately after because they're a little drying right after application. Also, I have super sensitive skin on my lips and eyelids. I can't wear many colors of eye shadow and almost every single lipstick I've ever used makes my lips peel the very next day. Wonderskin products have never made my lips peel, even once! (I also use their blush product which you can use on your lips as well.) The lip stain color lasts for hours, although it naturally fades a little over the course of the day. The applicator is fine, although it would be nicer if they would angle the tip of the applicator to help cut in the corners of your mouth. If you make a mistake, this begins to stain very quickly, so even just a small touch out of place and you'll see it. So if you don't use liner, like me, then it takes some practice. Overall I love the produce. I just wish the colors on the screen were more like in the package. I've tried several shades of this product, and most are darker, more orange, or way more pink than on the screen, and absolutely didn't work on my skin. That being said, I've been able to return colors I've tried without any problem, and I've settled on three shades I like quite a bit, especially when I stack one on the other for an overall better shade blend that works for my face. Thanks to their liberal return policy and super effective product, I'm a happy loyal customer!

It is a long lasting stain and natural
This stain is long lasting and the only reason I am giving it 5 stars is the color reads very differently than is pictured. I bought 2 that looked to be very different colors and they look almost the same on. I would have to put one color on each lip to see the distinction. If color doesn’t matter, they stay on.

Perfect Everyday Nude-Brown Lip | Long-Lasting & Effortless 💄
Love this product! It’s so easy to use and creates the perfect nude-brown lip look for everyday wear. It lasts all day and only fades slightly by the end. I did notice that when my lips were dry or cracked, it could emphasize those areas a bit and create some visible lines. No product is perfect, but this one is still amazing despite that small drawback.

Once youve tried it you’ll never look back
As expensive as this is, it has become my go too product. I have a few colours now and it does exactly what it says and how you see on social media sights. Fantastic product, you need quite a steady hand to put it on as if it does touch anywhere else it will stain too. Stays on for hours looks great Matt or with the gloss. The colours are stunning, and once on this looks like your natural lips rather than a fake lipstick absolutely fantastic product. HighY recommend.
