Purchased to organize electronics while traveling
I didn't purchase this to use for toiletries. I purchased this to keep track of all my and my three children's electronic gear while traveling. We'll be on 13 different planes this summer, and I absolutely cannot lose track of these items. I needed something that kept the items compartmentalized so I would easily know if something was missing. The top compartment (mesh and zippered) will hold an external battery charger and a bullet speaker. The middle compartment (clear plastic and zippered) will hold all cords, chargers, and power adapters. The bottom compartment (NOT see through but also zippered) will hold ear buds/headphones and airline adapters. Having a case like this will simplify TSA screening because everything will be in one case (or 2) and it is all zippered so nothing will fall out or get lost. It will also help on the plane itself because you can simply pull out the case (or 2) and everything needed is right there. No random stuffing into to backpack or purse or ziplock baggie, which is what I've done in the past. But things get lost or forgotten and when you want to use it again, of course it has fallen to the bottom of the bag or gotten hopelessly tangled in some other item. This case will prevent all that. We've also had issues where devices and headphones have been left in the seat back. Pulling out this case and giving it a quick scan will make it much easier to identify if something is missing, BEFORE you get off the plane! There are three main compartments and a zippered mesh flap on the inside of the 3rd. The compartments are on the smaller side. I cannot get my iPad into this case. My Kindle paperwhite is also a tight fit in the 2nd and 3rd compartments but it fits fine in the top. A Nintendo DS or two would fit in those though. The one thing I really don't like is that there isn't a carrying handle when the case is buckled shut. The case itself is very sturdy and well made. I am pleased I purchased this item.

Perfect size and layout for me. Two of my own modifications made it even better.
I considered many hanging toiletry bags and settled on this one because of its design, size, and positive reviews. And I'm very pleased with the purchase - after a couple of modifications. I like the loop on top that can clip around shower rods and towel bars or hang on hooks. One thing I wished it had included is a large S hook so that I can hang it on a shower rod with the bag facing out without having to twist the strap. So I created my own for free from a spare wire clothes hanger (the top of the S is the part that hangs over clothes rods and the bottom of the S is created by cutting the wire a few inches down, twisting the two strands together, and curving the resulting braided end). I also found the closing strap kept wanting to slip, which meant I couldn't close it compactly. I solved that by turning the plastic loop upside down and threading the strap so that the end of the strap is closest to the bag. Works perfectly now! I use the top mesh section for a toothbrush, disposable razors, plastic soap case, and aftershave powder. I like putting my damp items in this section because the mesh lets them dry out. Eye drops, creams, medicines, and miscellaneous items go in the middle clear plastic compartment. Finally, I put hotel-size shampoos and conditioners in the bottom clear plastic compartment. Even if they leak, they won't leak into the rest of my suitcase. The elastic loops in the third section can also hold shampoos and conditioners that are tall and narrow, which isn't usually the case with most hotels' supplies. All the medium-duty zippers work smoothly. The black material seems sturdy and is easy to wipe off. All in all, two thumbs up to this nice bag.

Pouches should be bigger
Note that when you first open it, it appears to only have 3 compartments. You have to unzip the third to reveal the section of elastic loops. This means to fold as designed, you would have to zip the two together again, meaning the bottom compartment could hold a lot more once it's unfolded, but put too much in the lower two before packing and it won't zip due to lack of adequate material in zipper side panels. Perhaps it is meant that you should only use the loops once unpacked in a bathroom for easy access, rather than to pack. Because of the numerous compartments, it should hold a good amount of stuff. However, each individual compartment does not have a lot of depth and will not be able to accommodate many very fat objects and still zip. The clear one is sort of shaped like a box zippered on the seam, and its depth is 1" (I measured). The bottom combined loop/mesh pocket, once zipped, is 3/4" in depth. The mesh pockets on their own are harder to measure as they are just a piece of mesh sewn at the edges onto the backing rather than having side panels, but I think these would hold the most as it's a bit stretchy and the back can bend. The elastic loops are stretchy enough I can fit my hand in them as a petite woman, so those could possibly hold bottles. None of the compartments are tall enough to accommodate a full size shampoo or contact lens solution bottle standing upright; however, they would fit at an angle (possible spill risk). But it is likely that one full size bottle like this would then take up the entirety of one compartment unless you want to stick something very small in there like hair ties. Would definitely be great for travel size items. There is a lot of space between the first 3 compartments, 2-3 inches of flat material which I imagine helps with folding or if you want to hang it and leave pouches open and stand taller objects sticking out of them. The design does mean that if you stuff it, it's not going to fold very compactly - more like a bundle - and might not buckle. I would not purchase this if you are picky about how it folds unless you don't carry much at once because it looks like it may be kind of a bulky bundle/have to lie flat if it's stuffed. Materials seam durable and water resistant, like you could wipe it down without soaking it. But it's not vinyl or plastic except for the clear pocket. Does not seam like it would tear easily and the seams, etc, do not look cheaply done. The elastic does look like once it's stretched it may not go totally back to original shape.

Great organizer!
I bought this for my trip to Italy, and have since used it on many overnighters to visit family. I like the number and style of pockets and can fit all my small toiletries in it. I also like the strap that you can hang on a hook. It works great because I can keep everything in the case without having to spread it out on the counter, which is great if you're staying in someone else's home. So far it's held up well for a year. Good quality and well-made.

Perfect toiletry bag for traveling; makes packing/unpacking a breeze!
BOTTOM LINE (1st): Great Buy! Must have for frequent and casual travelers alike. Can roll up into a small package for carry-on / backpack or unfold to spread out across the length of your suit case when your carry-on gets a bit full. Easily hangs up in your bathroom and will be a part of your check-in ritual! **I have recently experienced some travel mishaps and had a suitcase and backpack stolen from me in Italy. I'm in the process of purchasing my needed travel tools, and will be placing an order for this again after I submit my review! PACKING: This traveling toiletry bag is a MUST HAVE. I fly every week for work, and this has been an extremely useful product (1 full year of use thus far). I pack everything when I'm on the road; this includes a full carry-on bag that weighs anywhere from 35 - 40 lbs when I'm done, and still fits in the overhead compartments. This toiletry bag easily fits into my carry-on, and when I'm pressed for room, I can unfold the case since it's a tri-fold system. This allows me to spread the case across my entire carry-on instead of bundling it all up into smaller, but thicker package. I can also slide it in my backpack if I'm really strapped for room in my carry-on. UNPACKING: First thing I do when I get to my hotel room or back home is open my suit case, hang up my toiletry case in the bathroom, put my garment bag in the closet, and unpack my shoes. The case unpacks very easily and can hang almost anywhere in the bathroom. This may seem minute, but when you arrive at 1 or 2 am and have to wake up several hours later to start the day, it makes a big impact and helps you get you ready for bed quicker. BUILD: The toiletry bag is a pretty sturdy build and is made out of nylon that has been durable over the last year. I wish the plastic area had two zippers, so I wouldn't have to unzip all the way to get to items at the end. The one zipper build also means that when it's fully unzipped, the plastic area can collapse/bend, leaving your items falling forward and out. This is more for convenience and isn't the biggest deal. SECURITY/TSA: I typically leave the toiletry case in my suite case/backpack when I go through security, but occasionally get asked to remove liquids. I have been able to pull this case out, toss it in a bin, and walk through with no issues.

Good enough, and certainly priced well
This travel kit worked OK for a few years, but its biggest strength is probably its low price. The quality is marginal. One of the mesh pockets tore on mine within a month or two of getting it, and now the clear vinyl pocket has torn at the seam. The snap buckle on the hanging loop is right at the top, where it interferes with almost any hook one uses. The zippers are kind of small and sometimes fussy to slide, and very hard with only one hand free. My old favorite High Sierra hanging kit, which finally wore out after 20+ years of worldwide travel, is much missed. I'd hoped this would be a replacement, but it isn't. It's given three years or so of so-so service, and I won't replace it with another. I like my travel gear to work harder and for longer. For light duty or for someone willing to replace it more often -- and it really costs notalot -- this could be fine.

Decevingly Large & Practical, Don't Know What I Did Before!
I love this thing. I've had it for months now, and it works great to carry everything I need for the gym and travels. It moves seamlessly from my gym bag, to the hook in my bathroom, to my suitcase or overnight bag. It has replaced the mutliple bags for makeup, hair products, brushes, and everything else I used to carry. Not sure how I lived without this before I got it! This is what I fit in it, if at all helpful. It is decievingly spacious and water-resistant (don't think it's completely waterproof). Top compartment: - Make up remover wipes - Mini contact solution and case - Full card of bobby pins - A couple of pairs of earrings - My knockaround glasses (no case) Middle/Clear Compartment: - All my makeup and brushes (two eyeshadows, two blushes, eyeliners, brow pencils, mascara, six various size brushes) with plenty of room to spare Bottom Compartment - A hard-bristled detangling brush - A smooth-bristled smoothing brush - A full size bottle of hairspray Only complaints: There is a "hidden" compartment in the bottom comparment that can only be accessed when the bottom compartment is fully unzipped, which makes it impratical as anything in that comparment will have to be removed to use it. Also, the clear middle compartment has gotten a little funky with all my makeup in it and has proven hard to clean. But, for the price I paid for it, it is a steal and well worth the value.

Huge timesaver
Pre-packing this kit with all of my travel toiletries has saved me a lot of time. Gone are the days of forgetting items and remembering to pack toothbrushes after using them before a 6am flight. The small investment on this toiletry bag and a second set of supplies has made packing and traveling much, more simple. This costs next to nothing, has a ton of storage, and hangs from any railing or rack in any bathroom you come across. The top pocket is mesh, making it good for items that need to dry off (toothbrushes, etc). The next pocket is stitched plastic, keeping the rest of your items safe from exploding shampoo and soap bottles. Under those two pockets are a zippered section with another mesh pocket, and a (mostly useless) elastic loop section. Because of the way the kit foods up, there's not much that can be done with the bottom pockets, but you may find a use for small items like hairties or contact cases. My case survived about two years of abuse before it started falling apart at all. The zippers and buckles all work great. but the stitching holding the plastic pocket together is finally falling apart. Of course I would prefer that this wasn't the case, but given the use I got out of it, I really can't complain. A good toiletry kit is a must buy if you ever leave the house. Not only is it great for long distance travel, but its perfect to throw in a gym bag if you're just spending a night or two with a friend. This one isn't particularly beautiful, but it will hold a lot of stuff, and always stay handy.
