Going into all the personalities behind the pizza, she explains the origin of rivalries between different deep dish places in the region. Besides covering the history of many regional mainstays, she also showcases how detroit style spread nationally by telling the story of some non Midwest businesses. If you like Detroit Deep Dish, this book is a must read

I was unaware of pizza making background. Pizza is a weekly staple in many households and knowing the complexities that goes into the making of this product was so interesting! I especially enjoyed reading about families and individuals. A fun and interesting book!
