A great phone holder for the price and the best customer services I have ever received!
EDITED 1st June 2018:#After posting my last edit, Hannah from Bone Collection Europe got in touch to help. It turned out to be user error - I was not using the best-suited Bone Collection mount for a road bike. Hannah recommended the Bike Tie Pro which mounts onto the stem and arranged for the new Bike Tie Pro 2 to be shipped to me to try. It was amazingly and resolves all issues I experienced. It works great with Face ID and the buttonless iPhone X 'swipe up' and there is no wobbling, vibrations or chatter. If you have a bike with suspension or ride around at a leisurely pace, the Bike Tie and Bike Tie X are great. However, if you are on a road bike with highly PSI tyres and no suspension, opted for the Bike Tie Pro (or Bike Tie Pro 2 if you want to use Face ID/swipe up on iPhone X).# EDITED 17th May 2018:#After my second ride using this phone holder, I have decided to drop my review from 4 stars to 3. When using road bike with high PSI tyres and riding on regular roads (bumps and all), the vibrations are too much. I have two options, move the holder into the middle of either the right or left of my handle bar (effectively losing the ability to use the horizontal handlebar space or pad the top of the handlebar stem to prevent the phone from knocking against it like a pneumatic drill. These issues could be resolved by adding some hard structure/frame to this mount that would hold the phone more firmly and reduce shaking.#For those looking for a quick rundown, there are Pros and Cons at the bottom of my review, otherwise, here is the full lowdown:I've been on the hunt for a new phone holder for my road bike as I usually just put the phone in my under saddle bag. The issue with this is I cannot use any of the display features that come with Strava and my phone is essentially just a recorder. After hunting around and realising I don't want to spend £40+ for a Quadlock case and mount, I found numerous reviews and sites talking about this holder - The Bike Tie X from Bone Collection. For £16.95 (at the time of this review), it's quite good. My Bike Tie X was shipped the next day with Prime. The packaging is ok, relatively decent quality but could do with a bit of investment in the design (the product feels like premium quality, but the packaging wouldn't look out of place on a market stall). The design of the product is very intuitive and it's easy to use - simply tie the belt around the handlebars, fasten like a belt and then slide your phone under the stretchy corner holders. The quality of the silicone/rubber feels great - it has a soft feel to it and will not scratch or rub on your phone. My iPhone X has a 5.8 inch screen and this case fits fine, although the design does slightly interfere with using the device when in the holder. It blocks my Face ID sensor so that I have to enter my password manually and I cannot swipe up to unlock from the bottom of the screen as the rubber bands are in the way. That being said, it does not affect the performance or obscure the stats I wish to see whilst cycling. They do state on the box you shouldn't use your phone whilst riding anyway and as it pops out of the holder so easily, it's not a bother to pull up and take it out.The Bike Tie holds the phone very snuggly and works well even with my case and it can be used over your cables/bar tape. However, there is a fair amount of 'wobble' when going over bumps in the road (especially on a rigid road bike with high PSI tyres and no suspension).I'm not worried that it will drop my phone, but just wish it held the phone to the bike a little more firmly.Overall, for the price, the quality and performance of the Bike Tie X is fairly good and I am happy with my purchase. There are a few small issues, but weighed up, they can be overlooked for the price and quality of this product.Pros- Easy to use- Good price for a versatile phone holder- Versatile (can fit numerous shape/size phones with or without a case)- Secure- LightweightCons- A bit wobbly in use- Some screen obstruction especially on edgeless displays- A little bit fiddly to use with buttonless smartphones (i.e. iPhone X)

Excellent holder for my Samsung Galaxy S9+
This bike phone holder mounts very securely on the front of my road bike and holds my phone in one position very rigidly. The trouble I've had in the past with phone holders is them slipping loose when I go over bumpy road but this one keeps tight. It holds my 6 inch phone easily and even lets me work with the S9+'s curved edge and use touch ID on the back of the phone, although it's a little tricky to reach behind, regardless, the face recognition works. It's also very simple to put in and take out when I'm done riding so it makes it convenient for frequent use.

Nice piece of kit but heed the maximum phone size
I used this holder to mount my Moto G4 Plus (5.5 inch) phone in "portrait orientation" on my handlebar stem. I used it successfully on three rides, but on the fourth, as I was attaching my phone to the holder, one of the loops that holds the corners of the phone snapped (see the photos). The holder is now completely useless, and I've returned it for a refund. Shame, because up to the point that the loop snapped, it looked and behaved like a nice piece of kit.Update 23 July: Hannah from Bone Collection Europe quickly, efficiently and knowledgeably refunded and shipped me the Pro 1 that she says should fit better (because the Pro 1 has more give in it and the case on my phone takes it over the 6.2 inch max phone size). 5 stars to Hannah :-)

Cheap but very effective and much better value than alternatives
I used to have a quad lock case and mounting bracket. It worked great, but when I upgraded my phone, I found I needed to buy a new case and cringed at the cost. Effectively a subscription model for continuing to use the mounting bracket. So I looked at alternatives and boy is this so much better. It will fit an iPhone X or smaller easily. Installation is quick onto the bike and then attaching the phone is simple. Once the phone is strapped in, it sits there over rough terrain without so much as a wobble. I’ve used this over 6 months now and i love it. UPDATE: After 18months, one of the corner straps has snapped, which is a shame as this worked very well during that time. Considering the price versus the alternatives, i'm still giving this 4 stars.

I tried to put back in and no chance when wet it will not hold the phone, my phone has only cracked back but bigger problem was that I cannot use it anymore as navigation because was in my pocket!! Very easy to use.
Design and ease of use/fitment create the only downside to this particular product. The phone is gripped securely and the strap to wrap around the stem or handlebar is easy to use and holds the whole package in place well. The downside is the rubber construction allows fair bit of movement over rough road surfaces, this does not affect the security but does let the phone case rattle against the stem mounts. You could call this shock protection, probably sounds and looks worse than a rigid mount would provide. The straps that cover the corners do sometimes cover the area where several apps place the menu. Just remember to pick what you want from menu's prior to mounting the phone.Other than that it works very well and looks tidy.

Works for my IPhone 11 on my Trek stem.
I have this on my Trek Marlin 7 stem and so far all is well. I was a little concerned that it would struggle to hold my phone on bumpy tracks as the phone does bounce around but all had been fine so far. Perhaps wouldn’t recommend it if you take on jumps but for general riding it seems fine. Not sure I would be so happy if I had it on a handle bar but with the stem behind I’m happy with it and it was easy to mount Face recognition still works fine too.I can’t comment on how durable it is as it’s only been on a week although I have been out every other day and had no issues.
