Great poacher
I'm always buying new gadgets to poach my eggs perfectly but find this is the one most easiest to spot when the eggs are ready. It is also metal egg holders so much easier to clean than the usual plastic, that melted when my step daughter put the wrong oven on by mistake!

It's 10 months old and no longer serviceable because of rust.
This review just re-iterates other one star reviews but I am posting it because I have a photo to show you. Other than that I would make these points: 1. The rust affects the cups and at the same time is causing the paint to come off and spoil the eggs. 2. The little knobs on the cups get very hot so it hurts to lift the cups out when the eggs are cooked. 3. The little knobs are fixed to a narrow bit of metal at the edge of the cup which is not very strong. So far none of mine have broken off but they do bend quite alarmingly when you lift the cups out. 4. The large knob in the middle if the tray (the tray which holds the cups) is a very loose fit for the screw which is supposed to hold it on. A few months ago, after it fell of for the umpteenth time, I wrapped a bit of aluminium foil around the screw to tighten the grip but today the knob fell off again. 5. Under the large knob it has become very rusty. 6. The pan has gone rusty too but I suppose that you could argue that that doesn't really matter since it isn't in contact with the eggs. In the photo you can see: 1. The rust on the cups. 2. The contamination of the hard-poached eggs. ( By-the-way; I hard-poach eggs because I hate peeling hard-boiled eggs) 3. The rust in the middle of the tray where the large knob has fallen off. 4. The rust on the edge of the pan.

Rusty screws
Not great quality. Had for about 6 months and the screws have rusted and fallen off. They are not quite non stick unless you put oil or butter into the pots.

I used one like this, a KitchenAid product, at a summer rental. It was so good…eggs cooked perfectly in three minutes, eggs easy to remove, easy to clean and durable…that I decided to buy one for our home. Alas, KitchenAid no longer makes them, apparently. So searched…found one a supplier in Canada…even KitchenAid…but would not ship to USA. Then found this twin from a British supplier. More expensive to cover the shipping, of course, but to me, well worth it.

I gave it as a gift and he loves and if I didn't love poached eggs so much I may love it. I'm not a mathematician but the yolk was was hard and inner white bit goo and this doesn't seem like the right equation.
