Review: Good value for money and lightweight - We bought a run down property with a fair bit of land that needs reclaiming from the weeds and we have killed some strimmers in the time we’ve been working on our renovation. This Ryobi brush cutter is very light, the harness is comfortable and as we have numerous batteries we can just keep going for hours if needs be. It has tackled all sorts of weeds, grasses and shrubs and never missed a beat. Really happy we bought it Review: Packs a punch but sadly didn’t last long enough to outlive its warranty! - Really good piece of kit until it died a death (seven months after purchase). Used between 2 ½ -5 hours a week. Each 5.0AH battery gives you around 30 mins, although power/cutting ability does obviously reduce as the battery life is depleting. Whilst lightweight and easy to use, I would still recommend a decent, properly fitting harness to avoid shoulder injury. The strimmer cable is easily replaced (so don’t be fooled into thinking you need to buy the replacement RAC 114 spool). You do have to manually feed more strimmer cable though (none of this ‘tap gently on the ground malarky’ here, which is a bit annoying). The brushcutter blade is more than adequate for domestic use (brambles etc) but you won’t be cutting down saplings or anything with it. Initially, I preferred the blade but ultimately, preferred the strimmer aspect which still coped well with brambles etc. Ryobi don’t cover the warranty if bought on desertcart (‘bought out warranty’). desertcart were however, more than fair and whilst they wouldn’t replace the item, they did refund in full, so no complaints from me. Whilst I would have happily accepted a replacement, continually charging the batteries did become a pain and so I opted for a petrol replacement model. That said, I would definitely recommend this product and buy/use again. ## Features - High-performance 18V motor provides optimum power for cutting Tough grass and long weeds - 2-In-1 brush cutter and trimmer with both blade and trimmer head for versatility - 20cm hardened steel triarc cutting blade for tough jobs - Large 30cm line trimmer cutting path to complete tasks quickly - Soft-grip bike handle design with variable speed control for extended run time - The OBC1820B is sold as a 'body only' Tool (without a battery or charger) but is compatible with all batteries and chargers across the 18V one+ system ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01HGLA1JA | | Best Sellers Rank | 10,864 in Garden ( See Top 100 in Garden ) 76 in Grass Trimmers | | Brand | RYOBI | | Brand Name | RYOBI | | Colour | green | | Country Of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars 979 Reviews | | Cutting width | 30 Centimeters | | EU Spare Part Availability Duration | 5 Years | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04892210141033 | | Included Components | 1 x Brush Cutter, instruction manual | | Is Assembly Required? | Yes | | Is Product Cordless | Yes | | Item Dimensions L x W | 174L x 108W centimetres | | Item Highlight | OBC1820B, Hyper Green, bike handle, metal blade, dense grass and brush cutting | | Item Type Name | OBC1820B 18V ONE+ Brush Cutter [ZERO TOOL] | | Item Weight | 7.08 Kilograms | | Item weight | 7.08 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Ryobi | | Manufacturer Part Number | 5133002619 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | 2 year warranty | | Model Number | 5133002619 | | Number of Batteries | 1 Lithium Ion batteries required. | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Pattern | Only | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Power source | Battery Powered | | Product dimensions | 174L x 108W centimetres | | Recommended Uses For Product | Finishing and maintenance work and small brushing | | Size | Norme | | Speed | 8500 RPM | | Style Name | Single | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Assembly required:** Yes - **Brand:** RYOBI - **Colour:** green - **Cutting width:** 30 Centimeters - **EU Spare Part Availability Duration:** 5 Years - **Item weight:** 7.08 Kilograms - **Number of batteries:** 1 Lithium Ion batteries required. - **Power source:** Battery Powered - **Product dimensions:** 174L x 108W centimetres - **Speed:** 8500 RPM ## Images ![RYOBI 18V ONE+ Brush Cutter (Battery & Charger Excluded) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61yMk1dScCL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can you buy replacement pre wound spool strimmer attachment** A: The pre wound trimmer head for the OBC1820B is RAC114 or part number 5132002669. **Q: Does it come with a battery** A: No. If you don't already have one, buy a 4ah or 5ah battery. Preferably a pack of 2 (with a charger). The unit is solid and powerful, but needs a lot of juice. **Q: With the wire wheel attachment that can be brought separately for this is it the 6inch one or 8inch** A: Any one will do **Q: Does this product accept other ryobi attachments ie hedge trimmer** A: No. The hedge trimmer is a separate product. The ONE+ battery is interchangeable. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good value for money and lightweight *by S***S on 5 July 2022* We bought a run down property with a fair bit of land that needs reclaiming from the weeds and we have killed some strimmers in the time we’ve been working on our renovation. It is noticeably lighter and does the job great. Like all brush cutters, it takes a little practice to get the best cuts but you realise quickly that this Ryobi machine is match for the petrol alternatives. I bought this as a bare tool as I have batteries for the range. With two 5 batteries, I keep going for an hour at full tilt, I would recommend the larger batteries for good clearance. Certainly a good value win for me and would recommend ## Frequently Bought Together - Ryobi OBC1820B 18V One+ Cordless Brush Cutter with Bike Handle - Ryobi RB18L50 ONE+ Lithium+ 5.0Ah Battery, 18 V - RYOBI RC18150 18V ONE+ Cordless Battery Charger, Hyper Green/Grey, 5.0Ah --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/50479733-ryobi-18v-one-brush-cutter-battery-and-charger-excluded](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/50479733-ryobi-18v-one-brush-cutter-battery-and-charger-excluded) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
