Clover 1048/I Amour Crochet Hook : 5.5mm, Other, Multicoloured

Quite simply, Clover Amour crochet hooks are the best I have ever used. They are comfortable to hold for me - I use a knife grip. They are extremely smooth and yarn slides easily over the hook with no snagging at all, which makes crocheting quick and easy. I would not buy any other brand of hook, they are definitely worth the price paid.

So pleased with this hook. Comfortable to use and slides through beautifully. I make alot of puff stitch baby blankets and this had made the puff stitches so much neater,would recommend

I have used numerous hooks, but this is the best I have ever used. It runs so smoothly through the wool, and is comfortable in hand. I'm very suited with this product, and will definitely be perchesing more.

I had heard how good clover hooks were but had no idea they were this good. I will certainly be buying more of these. Although I am fairly new to crochet these slide through yarn like butter and effortlessly. Very highly recommended

I bought my first Clover Amour hooks from Amazon when I'd been crocheting about a year. I'm not an impulse purchaser, especially not for something that is relatively pricey, so I'd done my research thoroughly and I literally could not find a negative review or experience about these hooks. I bought the set and it was one of the best decisions I made. They have a shorter, shaped and rounded handle than some (about 4"/10cm) but I find that it sits comfortably in my hand and my thumb automatically falls onto the flat thumb grip (I have a knife hold). The handle is of a non-slip material with an imperceptible "give" so that even if you grip the hook hard there is cushioning for the joints in your hand. The hook part is very smooth and easy to use - I'm a tight crocheter but the gently pointed top of the hook is easy to insert into my stitches. The overall length is about 51/2"/14cm. Buying these hooks was a game-changer for me, in fact I'm so used to them that I struggle to use any other hooks, even other ergonomic ones that look similar. So when I mislaid my 3.5mm I replaced it without a second thought. I use DK yarn and find that I tend to use the 3.5mm, 4mm and 4.5mm most of all depending on the particular yarn/stitch combo in my project. Typically, my errant hook turned up a few days later so I now have a spare, just in case!

Don't normally do reviews but on this occasion I thought it needed one. I have been crocheting for several years now and after reading thr reviews I decided to try a 4 mm hook for a crochet top I was working on. WOW! not the cheapest but definitely the best hook I've ever used. Much lighter hook, just glides through the yarn, no splitting of yarn that my other hook did and more comfortable to hold. Definitely going to order more.

I didn’t want to write a review till I’ve used it for a couple of months and it’s still as smooth as the day I received it! It glides though the yarn and the grip is pretty good especially since the hook is so small. My hand usually aches when using small hooks but it’s not caused me any pain at all, I found out about this brand of hooks online but didn’t believe the hype at first but definitely worth it now especially working with soft fluffy plush yarn!

Arrived earlier than expected, very good quality hook and great for micro crochet projects.

I like this hook. This is a good hook. I am, for the most part, happy with it. It doesn't drag on the yarn at all. Stitches are made easily and quickly. The ergonomic handle is comfortable and I can use it for quite a long time without any hand fatigue. This is my best hook for flying. It preforms well, and is also cheap enough that I don't worry too much about TSA taking it. (This has never happened to me before, but I have heard stories) This would also be a great hook for beginners who don't need an expensive hook to start out with. Where it falls short of being my favorite: Even though it doesn't catch the yarn there is still a bit of a rasping sound and feeling when using it. It's kind of hard to describe, but there's a fantastic youtube video by Elise Rose Crochet that analyzes the smoothness of different hooks and helps to explain the "raspiness" of this particular one. The head of this hook is also a bit fat. I prefer a sharper/thinner head on my hooks. A shape that's actually kind of hard to find. Additionally, and this is really just a minor thing, but it's not very pretty... The soft ergonomic grip is functional, but at this point, pretty common, and not aesthetically interesting. Still a very good hook. I highly recommend for beginners, and it will be in my bag the next time I fly.

Never buy other hooks. Clover Amour are consistent, super smooth and makes crocheting a breeze even for absolute beginners

Gli uncinetti migliori che io abbia mai usato! Ne ho provati un paio ed alla fine uno alla volta li ho presi tutti, avrei risparmiato molto prendendo l'intero set. Pazienza. Sono scorrevolissimi, hanno l'impugnatura più comoda di sempre (io impigliato con presa a penna) e la qualità è evidente appena si guardano, il numeromnon è scritto ad inchiostro ma impresso nella gomma dell'impugnatura, quindi non rischia di cancellarsi con l'utilizzo. Sono anche allegri e colorati, il che non guasta.
