Having just re-entered the world of high-end skincare, I must admit to some ignorance concerning new development/ingredients in product lines. For those of you like me, BB stands for Beauty Balm, or Blemish Balm. A little research tells me that this is not a new product concept, BB creams have been around since the 80s, but I do believe they have made much headway in the production and ingredients list.A BB cream is meant to cover several needs at once. It is supposed to be a foundation, moisturizer and sunscreen all in one application. This may be the case for younger faces, but for those of us with some mileage on our skin... well, I just wish this could completely "cover" all my foundation needs. It is a fairly thick formula, so I had high hopes, and was actually shocked at the amount of coverage it did give. I still had a few areas showing a little red, so ended up applying a bit of powder concealer over it. Still, I am very impressed with how this evened out my skin tone without color matching like is necessary when buying foundation.What it also does, is moisturize beautifully without feeling greasy. If you leave it as is, it presents a lovely natural matte finish, but it's also a very good primer for applying a bit more foundation/concealer if you need it. I cannot attest to the sunscreen since my area is sun-deprived in the winter months, but I can say that my skin hasn't felt this good in a while. After so long using bar soap, I'm pretty sure that my face is breathing a sigh of both relief and pleasure that I discovered this cream.

This cream is okay. The color didn't really match my skin tone. I wished this had more tones to select from. The cream is on the thicker side. The SPF 50 typically is thick so I think that's why this cream is as well. I like that it does have SPF. UV light is harmful to the skin even on a cloudy day. My skin feel soft and hydrated after applying is cream. It covers the blemishes really well. It's long lasting, from morning to night. Don't need to reapply mid day.

This BB cream from PRETTYSKIN was sheer with a very light coverage but designed to colour correct instead of being a full finish foundation. I rather enjoyed the addition of sun protection in the formula and did notice that it was so light, that I almost went to bed with it on! It looks very natural on lighter skin tones but you may have issues if you are more olive-toned or deeper.Please keep in mind that this is Asian BB cream and meant for people with yellow, neutral, and grey undertones in their skin. It does not work very well on those who have pink undertones in their skin as it can cause a strange mismatch from your face and neck to your chest and the rest of your body. I am rather fair with yellow undertones and this corrected some tired, uneven, blotchy spots on my face and neck but does not have the same appearance at full coverage.The formula dried down rather dewy and does have a very light scent to it. I would patch-test this if you are sensitive to sun care or scents just to be on the safe side. I personally didn't have any problems but my skin is not very sensitive. :) Overall, if you are fair-skinned and have yellow, neutral, or grey undertones on your skin, this is a great lightweight option for the days you don't want a full-coverage foundation! I will be reaching for another bottle when I am done.

I love everything about this tinted moisturizer except for the color. It has a really nice hydrating formula that doesn’t cling to dry patches or emphasize fine lines, and the sheer coverage is perfect for evening out skin tone. I also like the high SPF in it. But it is extremely yellow on me, to the extent where it makes me look sick and jaundiced. I can just barely make it work by mixing in some pink liquid blush as a color corrector, but it looks terrible on me on its own. I only recommend this if you are pale but with very warm undertones.

This is a pretty standard beauty/blemish balm. Wife said it's a little thicker than another similar product she has, but it's not overly so. She paired it with her foundation and says it works pretty well. There is zinc oxide in it, which is from the skin protectant portion of this cream, which might explain the thickness. Users should be aware that there is a slight color tint to this cream, so depending on your own skin tone, you will have to do some blending. If you're really fair, I could see it being an issue.Almost all the instructions and ingredients are in Korean, but there is some English to go along with it. My wife's only concern is there is a line thrown in there about skin lightening. The ingredients don't list any sort of bleaching agent as far as she can tell, but she assumes the lightening might be referring to to the color tint of the cream.

This goes on nicely on my chest and the area of my forearm that I have some scarring. It really airbrushed the area,I know this is for the face but it’s so buildable I really liked it as a body makeup.

What I love is that this is either the best mineral sunscreen that I've used, or a great light BB cream, or both. After applying, it smoothed out my skin, looked great all day long including multiple hours hikings in and out of the sun.It did not sting my eyes or melt down my face.It did get some color on shirt when I rubbed my nose with the sleeve of my shirt. Beyond the fact that the color can come off on your clothes (which of course regular foundation can do too), I love this. I'll just be sure that if I'm wearing white, I either don't touch my face or I wear a clear chemical sunscreen.Although this goes without saying, since this is a review, I can say it works for sun protection. In the sun for a few hours and NO BURN. I'm a pale person. I burn easily. No burn after using this.I hope this helps!
