Heavy Rain Move Edition: PlayStation 3 Essentials (PS3)

Fun game.Play it with my partner and because you don't need to be a skilled gamer to play- it's really fun for her. Story line is like a movie and the characters are really well portrayed.

Heavy Rain will be a new kind of game experience for many console players. It bills itself as interactive drama and at times you could be forgiven for mistaking it as a TV show for both better and worse.However , as interesting as the game story is the game is essentially a point and click adventure game interspersed with QTEs. When I mentioned this is like a TV Show - I would add that this is on the level of a TV show like Law and Order Special Victims Unit or NYPD Blue. This is not True Detective or Twin Peaks.Pros : - Amazing Graphics - Interesting Crime / Noir inspired Story - Great use of Six axis motion controls ( Almost forgot the PS3 controller had this function)Cons : - Some of the voice acting is terrible - You will guess the killer quite early on - At times I was bored and wishing their was some more engaging gameplay mechanicsI would recommend this game at a budget price - even if you only play through it once as I did it is nice to try something different and experience the full spectrum of games on offer on the PS3.* I played using the standard Dual Shock Controller - it was fine.

Excellent game well worth the money I spent. I would definitely recommend this to other users. almost a reason to buy a PS3 by itself.

Game has no sound. Not worth a single penny!!!

...i could go on and on about how rubbish this "game" is... don't get me wrong - i'm an old school adventure gamer, so i get what they're trying to do, i'm not all about "guns and 'splosions", but this one just doesn't deliver at all. in any area. i should have known it would be crap from playing indigo prophecy and seeing david cage (writer/director) going on about how groundbreaking this one is because it's an "interactive drama" with "real emotions" in it. oh please. hammy schlock from start to finish. plotholes galore. the identity of the killer? well... i won't spoil it for you, i'll let you discover that little treat for yourself. i only hope i can put it on the amazon marketplace and get some of my money back.

Had the game for a couple of days now. Took a while to install but the task to complete whilst waiting was fun. Once play began and got used to the controls have been hooked ever since. It is a bit like watching a film. The story changes with the reponse to your actions throughout the game. Not finished it yet but would definately play the story again. Wished I had bought the game when it came out.Overall good value for money.

Fantastic film. Okay game. If this was a movie it would be brilliant but as a game I am not so sure.

Heavy Rain is a great departure from the normal run-and-gun games flooding the market. The story is gripping with plenty of twists and turns along the way.It's only faults are some control/camera issues and some poor voice performances.Still, it is memorable and I cannot recommend it enough.

Sehr gut gemachtes Adventure, fast schon ein Spielfilm mit professionellem Design und wunderbar passender Musikuntermalung. Einzig die Steuerung ist an einigen Stellen umständlich, obwohl der Grundgedanke der an die Handlung angepassten Funktion der Steuerelemente gerade für die Immersion ein sehr guter ist. Prima Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis über die Spielzeit.

Eines der besten Ps3-Spiele die ich je gespielt habe. Die Handlung fesselt bereits nach der ersten halben Stunde un läßt einen nicht mehr los. Das Ende ändert sich anhand deiner Entscheidungen die du trifft, ein muss für alle Gamer.
