I did not find it very effective I am afraid. I used Ivermectin in the end to get rid of Northern Mite.

Would this work on depluming mites? Also can it be used preventatively?

I don't know about depluming mites, but I spray the hut when its cleaned out, I also spray their bedding and directly onto the birds, and this seems to work.

Can this be used in a bird aviary? Canarys/goldfinches

As far as I know it can be used on all things bird, if that makes sense!

Will this work against leg mites?? If not what will?

Buy some cheap vaseline off of here, cover legs and combs with it for 5 days and I've found that clears them up. You could wash the perches down on each day too, if you wanted.
