I’ve used these filters for a while  and in general they are very good but I have had a couple recently that I had to throw away after a week as the taste and smell of mildew was present.Not sure what causes it.

Went down this route because of the cost and use of plastics in all the other water filters. Its simple to use and quicker to set-up to filter than any of the other water filter cartridges that I have used. My only issue is that I live in a hard water area so I have to keep the metal jug clean otherwise it gets covered in scale (magnesium and calcium)
