I have to say, for the price this was a good buy. My son is really into dinosaurs and fossil and stuff. He thought this was one of the coolest things he has received. It is good quality, bigger than I expected, and the mosquito inside was a very good size too. Not just one of those fack images places in resin. I would recommend this to make any fossil lover happy.

So, yes, as some folks have said this is bigger than the head of the cane that John Hammond used in the movie. That said......are you kidding me?!? For the price it is great to get something that size. unless you are a pro-level cosplayer exactness should not matter. Also, it makes a good sized paperweight/ desk decoration/ shelf decoration. As seen in other reviews, it does have a thin line that you can see when held at the right angle, but since I didn't have to catch a mosquito, trap it in amber, and then wait a few thousand years for my results, I'll live with it ok.

It’s bigger than I expected, maybe I didn’t look closely enough upon purchase. It’s very cool and the mosquito is decently realistic. Agree with others about the seam where the resin halves meet being noticeable but fine when it’s positioned on display to avoid seeing the split view.
