I needed this adapter for my ageing MacBookPro when it's wifi stopped working. It arrived in a couple of days but the instructions were confusing. The instruction booklet gave a website for downloading the recommended driver. On downloading and installing the driver I was unable to launch the wireless utility to connect to my router. The instructions in the booklet were very complicated and assumed the user to be very technically knowledgeable and was very hard to follow or understand for the layman.I then inserted the CD that came with the adapter and installed the driver from the CD (although there was no instructions to do this). This did eventually allow me to connect to the router even though there was no obvious step-by-step instructions. I just made some assumptions which seemed to do the trick.I have only used the adapter a couple of times and the speed seems to be very good, although I've only used it in the room next door to the router.Buying this adapter, I'm sure, is far cheaper than having the laptop repaired. So if you need to add wifi to a computer, I would certainly recommend this product.It is a little large when sticking out of the side of the laptop and you have to be careful not to knock it when moving the computer. The only other thing I found annoying is that you need to enter the router's password each time you start up the laptop. It would be great if there was a way for the adapter or it's software to store the password and connect automatically.Other than the initial installation problems and having to re-enter the password after every start-up I'm very pleased with this adapter.

I needed to try a wireless connection for my desktop as the reception I was getting through wiring was very weak and troublesome. Reading all the reviews left me a little confused as I am not technical, but I was drawn to the Bolse nevertheless.I definitely made the right choice and cannot rate this item high enough. Very easy to install, even though I got stuck at the start, I just re read the instructions and away we went. I have had the adapter 3 weeks now and can say with all honesty that we have never had such a good internet connection in our house. We have had no dropping of signal at all, whether upstairs or through the house in the conservatory. I don't normally go in for leaving reviews however for anyone who finds the technical speak a tad too much, this little item is well worth the money, it really does what it says on the tin.

Its great, all you have to do is download another manufactures drivers as the software will not work with the latest version of Mac OS X. Only took a few mins of research. It would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for this small thing.

So glad I bought this.. it works brilliantly with my Dell Studio XPS 8000 64 bit PC. I have gone to struggling with barely one bar connectivity to a full strength wifi signal. Would recommend this product highly.

I was recently looking to upgrade my wireless receiver for my desktop and since buying this product and installing the driver in what was mean to be an 'easy' setup has still yet to provide me with any wireless! Has connected once or twice however just disconnects straights away and can't seem to hold a signal! Very disappointed.

i can pick up 40mbps, this is about 70% of the speed i'd have with an ethernet cable, really pleased, had no problems with it so far (10 Months)
