It is the best dampener I ever had. The only issue is that it gets loose from time to time. The finishing of the plastic hooks at its sides are not tight enough for racquets with gauge 16 (1.32 mm diameter) strings.

Started using these because those nickel- or quarter-sized ones that come with your racket are always popping off. I've used one of these for a couple of years and it only came loose once. And when it does it doesn't go flying because of the way it's threaded between the strings.

Does a good job with dampening the strings. Broke after only playing 4 games. This is the 2nd shockbuster II I've purchased that has broken within a short period of playing time. I think I'll try a different kind of dampener for my next purchase.

I like this style of dampener, but am not sure it is allowed for USTA match play. I have never been called out for it and have also not researched it since I don't care anyway. That being said, they work and once you take it off, you feel like your arm is shaking.

I needed to replace this product after a year of use on a racquetball racquet. It had started to leak. I only realized how well this product works after taking it off. I absolutely had to replace it. Once I put the replacement back on, the vibration stopped and the sounds of the hits improved. A big difference.

This really does the job. The plastic ends were redesigned in 2014 reducing leaks and breaks. Whenever I order tennis equipment or apparel, I always buy a few of these to sell to friends using lousy dampners. (Also, the red and black colors go with most racquets.)

It broke at the corners in just a couple of months.

The Gamma Shockbuster II Vibration Dampener is a Very POOR product and I do not recommend buying this. The dampening effects are very good but the problem is that they do not last and when they get cut the oily gel oozes out staining the balls, your dress and even creates slippery fingers and a lot of soap and scrubbing to get it off....Be warned of this drawback.

After weeks of play, the ball struck the edge plastic clip, it broke and the dampener is useless. Disappointing.

It will break the first time you miss hit the pass on the dampener. The side hooks that connect to the strings will break.

Works good but very fragile. Broke after 2 weeks.
