Works well. Just don’t stretch it at all when laying it in place.

Good replacement
Glued it into place with some stove cement. I don't ever recall replacing this in 30 years so the old gasket was squished hard as a rock. I put a bunch of weights on the griddle after I got it in place and it appears to have seated nicely. Almost seems a bit large but it is what VC calls for as far as size and the metal mesh.

Used this on a wood stove as replacement. No gasket is perfect, but this worked very well.
