I have very thin hair and I can wrap one around my pony tail three times and it stays snug without feeling tight. One or two wraps for normal hair should work fine.

These are by far my favorite hair ties. They are no damage and hold my thick wavy hair nicely. They also give my pony tails a nice bit of volume.
