Degrease the area beforehand (sticking timber flooring back in place)
Our solid Oak plank flooring suffered from puppy pee, swelled up from mopping (as dry as possible but nonetheless) & wet winter environment in a 70's house.Solution this time round with a new pup, is to stick back (temporarily) wood planking after hoovering dust from cracks & degrease prep work with isopropanol (alcohol chain of molecules) which evaporates rapidly then place the double sided tape down for the planking to be weighted & see if this helps. We are also utilising warmer weather & a dehumidifier to draw any residual room moisture away to do the best job possible.(5 litres of isopropanol, in 1 litre spray bottle for neutralising puppy pee with minimal mop action just paper kitchen towel ..for anyone in the same state)NB humidifier needs a minimum of 18c to draw moisture from the air effectively & reduce swelling of wood FYI so now (April 2022 as weather warms is ideal to try a fix such as this)Having used other similar product previously it is a hit & miss solution (a lot of outside factors) however the idea came to me after using gorilla grip tape late last year on a failing wing mirror (adhesion scenario) so I thought i'd give this a go, & see how it performs as a short term solution whilst trying to get the floor back in order.Instant tack is very good, bonding (weighted where possible) should cure over 24-48 hours thereafter we should know, in the meantime its a good start. Will update accordinglyThe remainder will be used in the conventional manner of sticking up mirrors (in the home) etc, good stuff in your toolbox
