Very, very fragile
I tried fitting this to my ceiling but it broke straight away. First, the fit was a bit snug (ok, my hole may have been a bit small) but even light pressure caused the grille to break away from the rim. Then, in trying to remove it to sort that, both clip holdings snapped off. This product is EXTREMELY delicate and very brittle. Personally, I'm now looking elsewhere though previously this was the only one that met my requirements of mounting an Alexa Echo in the ceiling.

Overpriced and Low-Quality Product – Completely Useless
The media could not be loaded. I bought this mount for my Amazon Echo Dot 5 for $27, and from the very first day, I noticed the quality was terrible. When I tried to install it, one of the supports that should hold it in the ceiling broke within seconds. Then, when I tried to place the Echo Dot inside the product and screw it in, it broke again, making it completely useless. I couldn’t even install or use it once.The price is way too high for such a poorly made product. The plastic is fragile and feels very cheap. I’ve bought mediocre products on Amazon before, but this one is just trash. I do not recommend it at all.

Breaks easy
I just purchased 4 of these SPLIN flush mounts. First of all, you get a QR code as installation manual, which is actually in Portuguese and it doesn’t provide the full installation steps. It only provides you with the screw in / out of the mount, but nothing else. Additionally, one of my covers fell on the ground from about 4 feet high, and got shattered, so be careful not to drop them when handling them. Also, after installing them on my drywall ceiling, I went to pull it out again, and because of the tight springs on the side, they both broke of!!!! Yes, it’s the only option out there that looks nice for a flush mount with the Echo Dot 5th gen, but it is really not a well build product.

Not a good build qaulity
3D Printed part, which if fine, but this is not well designed or manufacturer. Unit will break.
