No.1900 Timegrapher Mechanical Watch Timing Tester Multifunction Machine with LCD Screen

Got this as a gift for my brother, a watch buff, and he loves it and uses it to tune his mechnical watch collection.

I dislike that no guidance is giving on what the graphical display indicates.The graphical display produces a line that is supposed to show the rate of the watch, but the numerical indication of the rate may be changing rather significantly, and the graph does not follow in a relative manner - instead is seems to show a dampened, average (the user doesn't know which indication to use for adjustment purposes. Direction would really be helpful!The graphical display often shows single dots above or below the dual-line (which is indicating the beat error) but the is no explanation of what the dots mean or why their color is the same as the two beat lines. I believe the dots indicate noise in the watch movement (produced by friction somewhere) but why two colors??A bigger concern for me is that the readings of the unit change for the first several minutes after turn on - when can a user say the readings are real - seems to me that 3 minutes must pass - what kind of digital logic requires a warm up? The only thing that could be warming up is the microphone pick up - the manual directions should so indicate, in order to provide confidence in the device.Finally, the lack of information on how the device functions and what the various graphical indications mean, results in a total lack of confidence in the unit - instead you are left with a "warm fuzzy" about your watch.

I was using an Iphone app before, this is much better. Being able to tilt the watch to different angles enabled me to pinpoint a problem with the hairspring (a little oil droplet on the spring). You can quickly adjust the beat error, and timing on mechanical watches (not quartz). The microphone/stand is heavy and of good quality. Large display and easy to use controls. Very happy with this purchase.
