Very good size and Maps work well
Upgraded from the element bolt- larger screen is nice and maps downloaded from Ride with GPS into the Roam perform really well. Nothing bad to say but sometimes it will not change from certain USB C plug outlets. Best to use the USB C they send to you.

Love this
This is my second Element Roam. Not much was changed from the previous version, which is good. Why mess up something that is great. One improvement is the navigation seems more precise than the first version of the Roam.Yes, Garmin's have functionality not on the Roam but check their price. In this price range, the Roam has everything I need with an outstanding battery life.

Great gps
Shows map, alert you when to eat, alert you for climbs, receive text message and phone calls, but you can not answer any of them, only read text messages and see who is contacting you. Make sure you charge it using a non-apple charger device and leave it charging for a bit longer after its 100% it seems like the battery last longer if you leave it charging overnight.

Upgraded to this from the Bolt
The media could not be loaded. I needed a device with more options and a larger screen. The max mpg is way of though, unless I was suddenly The Flash… no cyclist should or can go 102 MPH while peddling…even down a hill. 🤣🤣🤣That 102 mph happened while the device was on my bike and in my car.It was a good purchase and of value to me for my personal cycling needs.

Worthless without a cell phone- and Everything to go with it costs big bucks
I don't have a cell phone and do not want one. The software necessary for this device will not load on a PC or MAC, ONLY a cell phone. There is no way to update the item without a smart phone. The unit would not sync with the HR monitor I have. Would have to buy one from Wahoo, as well as proprietary cadence and speed sensors as well. You can't even use the online Wahoo fitness tracker without signing up for a "free trial" of a service that costs $149 a year.Like cheapskate Garmin, next to no written instructions are provided in the box. I could not watch online tutorials unless I signed up for the "free trial."I bought this unit because of good reviews after my Garmin Edge crapped out on me. Garmin products are not reliable, which is the reason I wanted to switch brands. The Wahoo does seem more sturdy and well-built. But Wahoo is a greedy corporation that seeks to make money every which way after you pay a good price to buy their product. They have been. real disappointment! To not be able to even learn how to use a product with a cell phone and a paid subscription is unacceptable!!!

Wahoo Hits it Out of the Park with this Iteration of the Element
This is my 3rd Wahoo Element. The other two were very good products, but this one pulls it all together in a way that elevates it above their other products to date. To finally have a color display (and readable in sunlight to boot) is a dream. The sound is loud enough to hear on the road. The climb alert and timer is such an amazingly good new feature. And of course it's highly customizable using the app, which is seamless. Sets up in a couple of minutes. So great.

Solid computer with elegant interface
I'm a big fan of the Wahoo elemnt interface and ease of use. Large screen and data fields are easy to see while riding in all lighting condition is. Since it's not a touch screen, you don't have fingerprints blurring the data. Buttons are large and easy to select in fingered gloves. What puts this over the Garmin for me is the screen size and Strava integration. i.e. You can monitor multiple live segments at the same time. On the down side you can only view KOM and PR (Garmin and Hammerhead can choose other riders and your recent rides). The Summit feature displays climbs whether you are using a route or not (same as Garmin and Hammerhead). It side LED works great, but the top on is useless. Doesn't display anything even when you programmed it in the phone app). You can add color code the grade and HR fields which is nice to help find those out while riding hard. The Roam V2 replaces a Hammerhead Karoo2. the Karoo touchscreen is always obscured by finger prints hard to see in bright light and the Stava and CLimb screens have tiny text and icons (and a plethora of bugs) If you dont care about Strava, Garmin X40 might be a better choice.

Bought another one
LOVE my Wahoo Elemnt Roam v2. Version 1 served me very well for many years so when the battery went weak I sprung for another. (A generous friend lent me a Garmin but I did not like the smaller screen and buttons and lack of intuitive format, now Garmin is copying Wahoo shape and size.) Wahooligans Unite! We need to be able to send back for battery replacement after 3-4 years tho! Ride On!
