Early to use and does what it should.

Firstly, I never get tired of using these IR thermometers - when I ran out of humans to test it on, I tried it on a variety of inanimate objects too - thanks to the environmental setting.Setup is super easy and takes little time at all - the thermometer is powered by 2 x AAA, which are supplied with the product and it will automatically power on when they’re inserted for the first time. Pulling the trigger will power the unit from there on in.The digital screen is clear and easy to read and it illuminates red or green depending on a non-satisfactory or satisfactory reading.There are a row of 3 buttons directly under the screen and left to right they are: memory feature - for storing results (32 slots), tone selection - you can either have the bleeping noise turned on or off and the final one toggles between Celsius and Fahrenheit.The button directly below them is for changing between the body and environmental modes - I particularly like this feature although I’m yet to work out exactly how I’ll make use of the environmental mode bar for my own amusement.Beyond that, the thermometer feels well made and is lightweight and easy to hold..You get a reading within a second of pulling the trigger and the unit will automatically power off when not used for a 30 second period.Overall, I’m perfectly pleased with this IR thermometer :)

My 4 yo girl hates to check her temperature, but this device helps me to do this in 1 second. It is possible to change from F to C and also it has memory function as well as shut automatic shutdown. Recommend it

Perfect for testing temp this is a hand held thermometer and can be used on adults and children . So simple to use and has a nice grip of you need to use it for multiple use .

Likes:• I like that this has an option to measure the body, or an object round the home.• Screen is bright, clear and font is legible.• Has memory option to remember a temperature.• Audible beep when temperature taken. Warning beep when temperature outside of safe range (so if you have a fever, according to the temp, it will show a red screen and make a "scarier" beep.)Dislikes:• Temperature accuracy is a bit finnicky. You can take the same temperature reading at the same spot on your body and it will give a different reading.• Temperature reading differs wildly, depending on the distance from skin, what part of the body you're pointing at, etc. - I recommend that you take an average, if this is all you have.• Comparing to a standard, pop-in mouth and under-arm thermometer, temperature for this is out on average.So I do not recommend this for a trustworthy temperature source. Take the measurements with a grain of salt and always have a backup thermometer that you know is accurate, as you're probably going to either end up panicking all the time, or end up missing a fever.

This hand held non contact thermometer is perfect for our first aid box. The thermometer comes with 2 AAA batteries and is worked by pulling the trigger,then just pointing it at the forehead with it giving a reading almost instantly,with both a green and red back light with the red being if there is a higher temperature. The buttons under the display are for a memory setting with it being able to hold 32 recordings,a sound button to toggle between mute and sound, and a Fahrenheit or Celsius button,also it has a choice of measuring between a person or an object. It is definitely a great upgrade to our last thermometer with how quickly you can get a reading,and at £23.99 it is definitely a good buy and we recommend it.
