The only one to buy
Personally speaking I wouldn't buy or advise anyone else to buy any other guitar in this price bracket. It is that good. I'm sure if your reading this you will have an idea of how good as for the past ten years or more this has been the guitar to get. Really isn't a lot to say other than it is head and heals above the competition. Looks great. sounds great. feels great. Also I would add don't go cheaper unless you absolutely have to, I've seen loads of sub £100 guitars that just don't have anywhere near the build quality of this and inevitably break within the first year. If you want a high quality guitar that will last at a bargain price, look no further. Simply great instrument that deserves it's year after year top spot. Do a bit of research and decide for yourself & happy strumming. Love it!

Great first electric guitar
My brother set this up for me as he’s played electric guitar for 30 years. He said it’s got a good action, Was well made and sounded great for the price. He also said the strings were rubbish and advised me to change them. Hold tune well and is really easy to play. He was impressed that it had the humbucker pickup and two singles so you have the best of both worlds which the Fender Squire doesn’t have being more like the traditional Strat. I bought a Fender Amp to go with it for about £150 and I’m really enjoying it. Highly recommend. The red is lush and looks really nice too

Great for a women with small hands
Buy this electric Yamaha guitar if you are a beginner. Do not look elsewhere as you will be wasting your time, this guitar was obviously made for beginners. It is immaculate out of the box but needed tuning which was not a problem. It stays in tune too, no need for constant retuning. The neck is narrow, great for a 5ft 2in women with small hands. The strings are slim and close meaning it is very easy to produce accurate chords first time as opposed to the acoustic guitar (thicker strings, far apart, high fretboard) I was using which I found very difficult to get to grips with and painful on the fingertips due to the wider neck and high strings you have to apply more pressure to the string to produce an accurate chord. I bought a yamaha F310 acoustic guitar in September 2015 and was totally unaware of the intricate details one needs to know before purchasing a guitar as a beginner. Many will advise to buy a guitar depending on the type of music you want to play, (heavy mental or rock equals electric guitar and amp) (blues, country or folk equals acoustic guitar no amp). This may be true but before you can play anything you need to master the chords. This electric guitar is by far the easiest to learn on.If you want a guitar that is very easy to practice on then this is the guitar for you, especially if you have smaller hands. I really struggled with the acoustic guitar and found I could not practice for more than 10 minutes. With this guitar I am able to practice for over 2 hours, no problems, no sore fingers and no boredom. No need for an amp with this guitar either if you are a beginner, its not really necessary at this stage.I would highly recommend this guitar to anyone as it is not that heavy and very comfortable to get to grips with. The Yamaha Pacifica 012 really is a joy to practice on as a beginner due to its ease of use and Yamaha guitars are always of a high quality too.

23 years later; going back to Pacifica
My first proper guitar was a Pacifica and I found it very versatile with its 5 way pick up selecor for getting different tones and sounds. Everything thing from lsush warm tones, jazzy tones, and with the humbucker and a bit of distortion great for hard rock. I switched to a Les Paul which I enjoyed for many years, but after fracturing my spine in 2 places and the recovery, it was just too heavy to stand and play any more, so I decided to get a lighter body guitar and having had experience with Pacifa, went back and got a new one. There's very little bad to say about the. They have tweaked the design slightly over the years, for the better. My only complaint would be that the whammy bar is a bit stiff; not as malleable, (dare I say 'not as fun'?) as it used to be, but I rarely ned to use it so it's a minor issue. Great guitar.

A very good quality electric guitar ideal for beginners and above.
My son wanted an electric guitar and this is his first. I looked at other makes, some significantly cheaper than this one. The reviews on this one tended to be very good and better than for the others and better than some more expensive. It is a Yamaha. That usually means good quality. It looks and feels like good quality. It does look well made. It is a very nice looking guitar. More importantly it does sound good as well. My son is delighted with it. I would say that this is an excellent guitar for a beginner or an intermediate. Recommended.UPDATE.When buying this guitar, I would recommend buying a good set of strings. The ones that come with the guitar are ok but not great and do not really last. All were replaced within a month or so. My son remains delighted with this guitar.

Stunningly well made and set up for the price
Bought as a gift for my son and I must say I’m very impressed. Very nice guitar. Intonation was spot on out of the box, which I didn’t expect. A strap would have been nice but not a big issue considering how genuinely nice everything else is. Fit and finish is well above average with the only possible change being a set of heavier gauge strings for the more experienced player.....maybe a spot of oil on the fretboard and graphite on the nut while you have the strings off ;)
