excellent meter in all respects
Pretty accurate compared to two other meters, one a professional logging meter. Nice to have options to display the reading averaged over different time periods. Good display, nice compact size. Be sure to find the little stand hidden in the packaging, this holds the meter at a slightly better viewing angle.

Peace of Mind + Initial results in 10 minutes!
I used this monitor during a tour of a new house I was considering buying. Our area is notorious for Radon gas with a home 15 minutes away needing Mitigation to redirect the gas away from the house. Since the monitor arrived in time before the Real Estate tour but not in enough time for me to read the instructions, I still took the monitor with me along with a power bank ( in case the home for sale had it's electricity shut off ) and hoped for the best. As soon as I arrived in the house I told the Realtor I was going to take a noninvasive Radon test in the basement. I unboxed the ecosense - went downstairs and simply pluged the provided cord into my power bank then set my cell phone timer for 10 minutes and starting the tour outside to be considerate of my Realtors time.10 minutes goes by quick when touring a home for sale and since the main function for which I needed the test was an initial reading to understand if I needed further action in case I made an offer on the house and even though I had no time to read about the multiple features of this unit, the ecosense delivered!I had enough time for 3 readings! Between outside and indoor touring, I got 2 different readings of separate basement areas both of which were within safe levels of Radon and even had time for a reading upstairs in the kitchen also within normal limits but a bit higher # ( maybe because the gas can enter thru well water and out the faucets (?).When I got home, I checked my own house levels for Radon & Thank G-d they were also within normal levels but I will keep monitoring as levels change for various reasons and seasons and different areas of the home. Having a Radon monitor makes as much sense to me as having a carbon monoxide monitor in the home since you never know when either will reach dangerous levels. This unit has a danger alarm as well! My Dad died of Lung Cancer. I wish this was available in his day, I would have checked my parents home and suggest Radon Mitigation or sleeping in a better area of the home. So give yourself the gift of Peace of Mind and get this monitor. I recommend the ecosense Radon Monitor for ease of use, initial fast results, small footprint and functionality.

After some testing, seems to be a good radon meter.
I waited a while before writing the review, because to begin with, I thought the meter was not working right. Several reviews mentioned much higher than actual readings due to electrical interference. So I added chokes to the usb power cable like people suggested. Tried it in different places. Bought a different radon meter and compared the readings of the two. After a few months, testing in a few different places, I think the high readings (almost 60 sometimes, always over 20!) that it was giving for my house are actually correct. Another meter gives within 10% of the same readings over time, and if I move it outdoors, it goes way down to like 0.5 or lower, as does the other meter. So... I don't think it's the meter being high, but my house needing some serious mitigation! (It's a slab on grade house built on a giant block of very old decaying granite, a great source of radon....)

device works, but is **extremely** sensitive to power line noise
The user manual talks about placing the unit away from Wifi, hotspots, etc. due to the possible effects of (radiofrequency) electromagnetic interference. What they fail to mention in the manual, however, is that the device is extremely sensitive to power line noise, as well. Power line noise (aka, "dirty electricity") usually falls in the ULF, VLF, and LF bands. It is very common and due to many causes such as inductive loads (motors), switching power supplies (common in computers, UPS backup, and consumer electronics), AC-DC adapters ("wall warts", plug-in USB chargers), fluorescent lighting, etc.I was originally getting readings rising as high as 15 pCi/L, even in upper floor areas that did not make sense to me. On a whim, I decided to install a large (0.5" inner diameter) broadband ferrite on the USB power cord (close to the unit). I looped the power cable around the ferrite core 5 times for added effectiveness. I then redid the readings in all the same spots and they dropped to 1.5 to 2.5 pCi/L immediately. It's a shame the manufacturer did not include a ferrite bead on the USB power cable. They've used a very cheap AC-DC adapter for charging over a USB cord and apparently it creates a large amount of noise (although some noise may also be coming from my environment). After adding the large ferrite core, now my unit works consistently, reliably, and is outputting values that make sense (higher in the basement, lower upstairs). I imagine that many of the negative reviews complaining about wildly high values were due to this very same issue. I hope the manufacturer takes note.
