Very thick, excellent quality lining paper.
We live in a victorian property so whenever we decorate a room we have to contend with a hundred years of peoples diy attempts and walls that involve filling holes , smoothing over cracks and other horrors. I really like a smooth finish as close as is possible so once we’ve fixed all the problems I need a really thick top quality lining paper. This paper is fantastic for achieving that as far as is possible in an older property. The paper is really stiff and you do need to soak it for the required time after pasting. It states 5-10 minutes on the roll . I found 8 minutes to be pretty perfect. I used a good quality paste and, after soaking, the paper moulds to your wall and is easily smoothed into position with a wallpaper finishing brush. It doesn’t stretch that much. Approximately 0.5 cm over its width and each piece stretched the same amount so a nice finish is easily achieved as long as you soak each piece for the same time. It’s very straightforward to trim and obviously no pattern match so very little waste. These rolls are double sized so excellent value for money. Once I’d fully papered I left it 48 hours to completely dry and then painted on top giving a smooth uniform finish. In this case I’m using a silk emulsion and the paper is taking it up really well. I haven’t finished yet but I’m really pleased with progress so far. These rolls are heavy so you do need to be a bit careful not to rip the paper when you are rolling it out to cut to size. The paper I have left will be brilliant for drawing on with the younger members of the family so I’m pleased I didn’t use it all. I’d definitely recommend this if you need a really top quality lining paper. You could obviously paper over this if your walls are in poor condition to achieve a more pleasing finish. Definitely five stars for this paper.

Easy to use
This lining paper gives good coverage and I ended up just painting over it, which left a really good finish.

A good thick lining paper
I bought this because my walls were slightly uneven. No fear; the paper covers all imperfections very well. You should leave the paper for nine minutes onces pasted. The overall operation of pasting the paper and waiting should be no more than twelve minutes otherwise the paper starts to dry out. There is a smooth and rough side so make sure you paste the same textured side each time. I pasted the 'rough' side each time as recommended, though I don't think it matters too much. The paper is heavier once pasted but doesn't tear. Oveall a good lining paper for the price. I bought 'double- sized' rolls so it worked out cheaper than buying the standard sized rolls.

Top Notch Wallpaper
This wallpaper covers all sorts of imperfections like no other. I found it easily to handle and easy to apply. My technique was to cover the wall with well watered wallpaper paste first before doing the same to the wallpaper. After 5-10 mins I then hung the wallpaper. This wallpaper is thick stuff. It feels strong. It feels right for my purposes, which is to cover wall panels.

heavy paper lots of paste needed
very thick does need both paper and wall pasting great to handle i had a plaster board wall that had flakes of paint coming off took off the flakes and used this paper went on well but to be honest still could see the slight raise from old paint to board a few mm after painting still couldnt get rid of this ridge used anoth layer ontop and has just about covered it havent painted yet has hidden small holes so overall nice to use bubbles come up but over night every bubble had gone i think the paste had pulled the paper in which then shows the ridge between old paint and plaster anyway for me two layers went on well and done the job
