Works well
This is a good value filter socket. Like many others I found the packaging quite frustrating. The metal ring that secures the tool to the cardboard has to be removed with pliers but is not as soft as I was expecting. Top tip is to make sure the tool is seated correctly on the filter otherwise the filter gets jammed in the tool and is tricky to remove. If however it is seated correctly it works perfectly. Ideal if you have to torque your filter on.

as needed
it fitted my Triumph speed triple and was easy to use , you don't need to tighten oil filter too much , put a smear of new oil on the rubber seal

The only one that worked
Having tried the three legged type tool, the screw on band type tool and the roll up strap type wrench, numerous combinations of gloves, sandpaper and ratchets, with no joy I was getting a bit desperate. I was reluctant to try this tool as other reviewers had noted that the spot welds were a little flimsy and I had also deformed my stuck filter with the three legged tool. One advantage it has over the others is that is sits in place once (lightly) tapped onto the filter and you can then get a long lever (in my case a 2 foot torque wrench) on it. So no need to get two hands in there when space is tight to hold things in place. A gradual increase in pressure (just in case the welds failed) and my stubborn filter finally started turning with an accompanying rubber squeal from the filter seal (guess it wasn't oiled when fitted). I didn't get as far as the chain wrench or (last resort) punching a screwdriver through.

10/10 does the job and does it well
This oil filter wrench does exactly what you want it to do, without any drama. It grips the filter properly and doesn’t slip, even on ones that are really tight or haven’t been changed in a while. That alone makes the job much easier and far less frustrating. It feels solid in the hand and doesn’t flex when you put some force through it. The mechanism works smoothly and applies pressure evenly, so you’re not fighting the tool or worrying about damaging the filter. It also works well in tighter spaces, which is often where oil filters seem to be placed. Overall, it’s a simple, well-made tool that just works. Good quality, good value, and something you’ll be glad you have the next time you’re doing an oil change.

Worked well
Product worked well, on first view it looks a little flimsy, however it fitted well and the square drive was sufficient if very shallow ( remember to remove the silver rivet that fixes the unit to display card.)

BUT !! - beware which size of oil filter you have!!
This oil filter cup-socket will fit - exactly - a 65mm diameter oil filter which has 14 flats around its circumference; this is the type used on many Japanese cars. However, if you have a Hyundai i20 (2015 onwards), please note that the originally-fitted Hyundai oil filter (blue-grey in colour) is 67mm in diameter(!) and this cup-socket will NOT fit. The silly thing is that one can easily buy a Bosch replacement filter (which is an authorised replacement for the original Hyundai unit) and Bosch have sensibly made their filter with a 65mm diameter so this cost-effective cup-socket will fit the Bosch, but you can only fit a Bosch filter if you can firstly unscrew the Hyundai filter, and this cup-socket will not fit the Hyundai filter - a perfect Catch-22 situation.

5 Punkte sehr gut !
