A great edition of a beautiful story
I am an A level French student, and I found this book easy enough to read for my level, while still including more advanced structures and tenses to provide a challenge. This Kindle edition boasts an accurate and characterful translation alongside the original text in a very handy layout, making for easy reference for words/structures that were more difficult. I loved the story as well, so I recommend to anyone who can appreciate a good children's story with depth and meaning, even if you aren't a fluent french speaker.

A good dual language edition of a French classic
The story of Le petit prince must surely be too well known to need recapping here and in any case some other reviewers have summarised it well. Suffice it to say that it is a classic of French literature. This dual language (French and English) book will help those learning French. it has a good quality English translation with the well-loved illustrations. Paperback, with good quality paper, printing and binding.

A brilliant concept
This is a brilliant idea to have the French and English versions of the text side by side. I am not sure the translation of this text however is suitable to help people learn French or indeed English as languages change over time and the original French version was written over 70 years ago. Some of the French idiomatic phrases have over time lost their initial meaning and some lost so they no longer translate as intended. However the English translation does do justice to the original story and as such well worth reading. This is a book written for children but the language used does seem to be pitched at an older age group so I feel it falls between two stools and probably more suitable for those of us that learnt French a long time ago and want to recapture memories of our youth. I originally read this in the 1950s while at school for a brief period in France and it certainly brought back many memories, I could still read about 90% of the French with just an occasional peek at the English. I have the Kindle version and it works well including the illustrations which sometimes is a problem with Kindle versions.

Great for beginners or people with hearts :)
It's a gorgeous delve into the world of a child and an adult and an adult who was once a child and a child who will always be just that. It's as beautiful in French as in English and is a great story to practice your French!

Much Better Than I expected!
I think the listing undersells this book (Kindle Edition). I was expecting a parallel text, French/English side by side on each page, and that’s exactly what you get. All good. What I didn’t expect was to ALSO get the full book in French only AND the full book in English only! For £1.99 you effectively get THREE Versions. Fantastic value for language learners. I am so happy. 😁

English translation substandard!
It's great to have a bilingual edition in Kindle, but the English translation is terrible! This book has been translated for a very long time into English, so I wonder why a new and lacking translation here seemed necessary?

beautiful, thought provoking book
Everybody should read - and will enjoy - this book and its illustrations. A good read if you are attempting to improve your french language learning. Book Club members will enjoy an analysis of the delightful story.

Very well received
It has been very useful infurthering my learning. It was particularly helpful on Kndle where side by side the story unfolded and stood with the french and then translated english.I llustrations were amusing

Wow I loved this book so very much and I knew very little French when I started it and I think I'm a bit better now, so that's great too! A charming story that plants itself in your heart for a long while

This book is exactly the same as in the preview, the packaging and content are very beautiful, not only can be used for reading, but also for collection and gift giving. You get what you pay for! In addition, I sincerely suggest that the author publish more similar English-French bilingual books (such as Jane Eyre, The Outsider, The Count of Monte Cristo, Notre Dame de Paris, etc.). If I see the English-French bilingual version of The Outsider, I will definitely buy it!
