ERP Microwave Oven Universal Cavity Touch Up Paint 98QBP0303 Snow Bright White

After drying herbs in the microwave I learned a lesson-don’t microwave paper towels more than once or twice or they will catch fire! The ceiling of the microwave became scorched with the paint in two areas bubbling up. I ordered the microwave cavity touch up paint, scraped away the damaged paint and went to work. I applied a thin coating, waited till it was dry to the touch and reapplied for a total of three coats. The color of the paint is not an exact match but really, who looks at the ceiling of the microwave? Allowed the paint to thoroughly dry for 12 hours then plugged it back in for a test run-a bowl of water. Success!

I had a bad spot on the inside of my Samsung Microwave due to over heating the glass turntable. THIS IS NOT A TIP ON HOW TO REPAIR YOUR MICROWAVE!! my choice was to replace built in microwave at $300.00 PLUS LAOR or VERY CAREFULLY FINE SAND THE SPOT ABOUT THE SIZE OF A QUARTER. What I would say is to only use Amazon 90% rubbing alcohol to clean the entire interior of the microwave, there can't be one finite piece of metal from sanding!!!.After very carefully testing the microwave it does not appear to have any issues. I researched all paints that can be used for MY purpose and decided on ERP Microwave OVEN CAVITY TOUCH UP PAINT. I spent $11.50 instead of $300 plus labor. DON'T USE ANY PART OF THIS INFORMATION TO ATTEMPT TO REPAIR INTERIOR OF MICROWAVE! READ PAINT LABEL GIVE a reputable Ai YOUR MODEL NUMBER AND WHAT THE PROBLEM IS,IT WILL TELL YOU THE PROPER WAY TO REPAIR OR DISGUARD DEPENDING ON THE DAMAGE. i AM IN MY 80s and I am writing about Ai, who knew!! My kids still think I write with a #2 wooden pencil.

It seems to have worked fine. The spots that needed repair inside my microwave were small and on the top where no one can see it. It went on smoothly. It dried fairly quickly. It did require more than one coat. Sand the rust off first until you can see the metal and wipe clean. Then use the touch up paint. My only complaint so far is that it doesn't come in the bisque color that I needed, but no one will see it. I wish it came in an aerosol can so that I could spray the whole inside the same color, even if I had to change the color. The brand that I wanted that came in a spray can is too expensive for my taste. This one did just fine.

Waited 24hrs on a bare spot painted with this, it no longer does the microwaving on metal crackle. If you don't want to buy a new microwave (and in todays economy) this may get you out of a pinch.

Not a good color match for some older microwave ovens. My GE Profile above range microwave is 25 years old. There were some places where the old paint was cracking, so in an effort to repair it before it starting arcing, I ordered this repair paint. While "Snow White" might be a good color match for new machines, the Snow White hue was way too bright white to even be a close match to the interior of my microwave. It's not easy to find food safe, high temperature, no oder (or at least low oder), enamel paint. I read in a blog that ERP brand, Off-White color paint was the way to go. I've searched the internet and I can't find any repair paint matching the requirements. ERP is now selling "Pearl White" color, which I tried in a spray can delivery, but that was not white enough. Based on my experience with the color of this touch-up paint (bright white) not matching my microwave's interior, I can only recommend this paint for newer model microwaves. That's because I've been led to believe their cavities are brighter white than older microwaves.

Applied per instructions including cleaning surface needing touch up and it came off after only a few times using microwave. Also tried lightly sanding before next application. Still came off, Called ERP the mfr in St Charles IL and they said get a refund from Amazon.

I live in a rental situation so I'm not gonna buy a new microwave. It started rusting at the white edges in the back lower seem near the rotating table. I followed instructions and cleaned with rubbing alchohol and dried it then painted and waited like overnight to dry then second coat. WORKED GREAT!!!! THEN I used it on the white TOILET!!!!! THEN the white Bathroom door. I'm OCD can you tell? But it makes me happy.

Cubre perfecto el óxido del interior del microondas y darle una segunda oportunidad..., muy fácil de aplicar, el olor no es tan fuerte y al secar queda terso. Hay que dejar secar totalmente minino 12 horas. Yo le aplique 2 capas y entre ellas deje secar 1 hora. Es un Blanco muy intenso que quizá no es idéntico al original de mi microondas pero es mejor así a qué se este oxidando.

Bien pero la cantidad de pintura es muy poca trae menos que un esmalte de uñas

Cumple con el estándar de no ser flama le en el microondas y de no ser tóxico. Precio muy alto por tan poca cantidad. Pero no hay otra opción que cumpla con estas concisiones.
