Do Not Order
Too heavy for my African Grey. He couldn't keep his head up, he kept falling over, I removed within 90 seconds. It was awful, I felt awful that I put it on him.

Not User Friendly
My African Grey Parrot practically mutilated herself from plucking & I needed to keep her from doing more damage until her Vet visit. I have this bird poncho at 3 stars because it did keep her from doing more damage. However, she has a LOT of trouble moving around with it (she couldn't even perch), kept falling over & worse of all CANNOT eat because it blocks her from bringing food up to her mouth. I ordered the smaller collar to use instead of the poncho because it doesn't hang so far down & I hope it will allow her better movement & the ability to get food to her mouth. But there was a delay in shipping on that product. As it is, I have her in her travel cage with the poncho on so she doesn't hurt herself falling since it DOES prevent her from causing more damage for now. I would only recommend this product for short term use not a daily fix.

We love the color
I was surprised, but my bird loves it as little girls like pretty dresses, there was no negative reaction, and it seems to me she even likes that as something very pretty, so it works and not accepted as restriction, nice!

Useless
Useless!, impossible to squeeze it over a birds head!! Needs a vertical opening!!

Too heavy
Bought this for our Eclectus who has developed a bad plucking habit. Got it on her and she was falling as it was too heavy.

Not for mega chewers.
Flimsy but necessary.

Too heavy
The product is very pretty. It looks like fleece fabric that has been cut, stacked, and sewed around the neck hole. Since African Greys can over heat easily, the fabric of choice is questionable. The size was good as it covered his neck and about half was down his wings. However, Elmo could not balance with it on. He wasn't able to walk or climb on his cage as it seemed to be too heavy. At first, I thought he was just mad. But, he fell off of his cage. I'm concerned that this product is not safe for our feather babies. May be better for a larger bird like a Macaw.
