Great shirt
This was a great purchase. I bought this for my husband for a vacation. Was looking for a casual, breathable shirt that could still be worn to dinner and this ticked all of the boxes. The shirt is well made and has the great flap in the back so air can get in, lots of pockets, and the fabric is smooth to the touch. Also, I loved the vibrant color and the quality construction.

I bit the bullet and bought a medium fjust to experiment and let me tell you I'm glad I did because it fits like it was made ...
Ok here's a review that can shine some light on the sizing. It took a few tries to figure out the sizing me for me so maybe this will help some people. I usually were an XL shirt for mostly everything, heck I've been known to wear a few XXL shirts. But after reading the reviews I went with the consensus and bought one size smaller (LARGE). Ok, so the L size shirt arrives and I throw it on and it fits. But, not really... It was still quite big, just didn't feel right or fit right. I bit the bullet and bought a medium fjust to experiment and let me tell you I'm glad I did because it fits like it was made for me. Awesome, so not only do I have a comfy shirt for many occasions but it tells me I'm a medium size to help contradict what i see in the mirror :) Win win for big guys everywhere!

Big guys new favorite shirt
I wish I could afford more of these!!! I'd like to say I specifically ordered this for a cruise so I had a light comfortable shirt to have on while in the Caribbean but the truth is I really wanted this while fishing from my kayak in the Texas heat. In order to appease my wife I will have to wait to make this a fishing shirt until after I get some holes or stains on it. It's a nice enough shirt my wife will allow me to ware it out in public and at the same time I get to stay comfortable. One of the few shirts out there available in a size 3XL. Not a lot of love from the clothing industry for us big guys, but Columbia has tried to take care of us larger lunks. If Amazon would carry more of the Columbia styles and in more of the colors in the size 3XL I'd be happier. Like I said, I wish I had about ten more of them. Gets my recommendation!

Ridiculously long tail
There was another review stating that the tail was ridiculously long. I took that with a grain of salt but now I see it's true. This is almost a bath robe. I ordered a Large and it's way over the half-way point of my rear-end. I am about 6 foot high.Other than that, the quality seems fairly but I did find some loose threads hanging. Something confusing about the make up. Parts of the listing say 100% cotton and other parts say 100% cotton/poly. What they mean is that the shell is 100% cotton and the ventilation portions that are knitted into the insides are polyester mesh. It's seems like it would ventilate well enough but there is such an enormous amount of fabric that I think the shirt may work against itself by holding in heat. Personally, I'm going to check out pocket tee-shirts next for the low cut and efficient use of fabric. As others have stated, order one size down from your normal sizing but even still, if you plan on wearing this untucked, I fear it will not be like a Hawaiian shirt with a close belt-line cut but closer to a bath robe. It reminds me of the ridiculous dress shirts you had to wear to weddings that you were tucking way past the end of your undershorts.

... to be a gift for someone yet it looks like I picked it up off someone's floor and said
My package arrived in a box. I open it to check the shirt and make sure everything is what I ordered. The shirt was rolled up in a ball, unbuttoned, and no tags on it ANYWHERE. I bought a brand new shirt however it seems I got someone's return. Not only was the shirt tagless and rolled up in a ball but there was trash in the bag with the shirt. Whomever initially bought this shirt also bought tactical pants size 34x32. Im guessing they kept the pants but left ALL the tags and bag from the pants with the shirt. Next time you try to resell a shirt that was returned, maybe take out the trash, retag the shirt, and fold the shirt. This is supposed to be a gift for someone yet it looks like I picked it up off someone's floor and said hear ya go! Here's a shirt! I'm disgusted with this purchase.

Great shirt, but they run big so get at least a size smaller than you normally would.
Columbia is a quality name brand and their Performance Fishing line (PFG) is even a step above their normally high quality. The PFG line typically offers breathable materials and often are quick dry as well. I own several different styles of their shirts, shorts, board shorts, even pants and they're all of the utmost quality. I can say with reasonable certainty that I've never had an issue with any Columbia PFG products. These Bonehead shirts are made of cotton and are very comfortable, although they do wrinkle very easily. You'll need to get them out of the dryer and on a hanger pronto, or else you'll find yourself holding an iron (that is, if appearance while fishing is important to you). The shirt is soft enough that it is comfortable when casting... there's no stiff, starchy feel to it. It has a little bit of stretch to it as well, so if you're sweaty and sticky while fighting a pelagic, it'll have some give and not cut your circulation off. The buttons are quality sewed on and there's no fear of them unraveling or breaking off. These feature the breathable flaps on the back with mesh to keep the shirt off your back and air circulating. They're quite comfortable on hot days. The one thing I just can't get my head around is how big these shirts run. I've purchased four of these and they're all big. I'm 6'1, 215 and a large is big on me. Put me in a large t-shirt and I'm looking like Chris Farley as Matt Foley, motivational speaker, but these shirts are huge. The first one I ever bought was an XL and it's still hanging in my closet three years later having never been worn. I can't bring myself to buy a Medium, but may just for sizing's sake and return it if it's too tight. The Large size is comfortable, just a little bit too big.Overall these shirts are extremely well made, very comfortable and very affordable when compared to other brands of much less quality.
