I could not for the life of me stop the joint of two outlet pipes leaking. I think probably one pipe was a bit past its best so wasn't as water tight as I'd like. Ordered some of this duck tape to try before replacing the whole pipe and Voila! The leak has stopped! So it's definitely done its job. Was a bit tricky to apply because it starts sticking to itself once you remove the backing but all in all a great product!

Very easy to use and worked very well

The leak I fixed was on a pipe that didn't contain water under pressure (pipe at back of toilet bowl) but it worked really well. Followed instructions and no further problems (1 month ago). Very handy to have in case of leaks. But should be used only for what it's intended for.

A massive fan of Duck products. So when needed an emergency fix of a dripping heating pipe until I got the parts to repair thought id get this.I have used Self Amalgamating tape before got from a Plumb store.On attaching this tightly to the joint on the pipe it was soon leaking within minutes. So took off and redid the process again but even tighter. Again within a few minutes drip drip. Do not buy if wanting to do a quick patch fix as this does not work and does not do as it states. Overall disappointed with the Duck company for selling this as it tarnishes their other good products

Worked a treat on a leaking radiator valve when other items such as plumbers putty and sealant didn’t. Easy to use and actually works! Great.

I used this tape to fix an isolating valve that was leaking, while waiting several days over the New Year holiday for a plumber to come and repair the leak. The valve is fitted into a water pipe and has an irregular profile. Once it was stretched, the tape fitted tightly around the profile of the water pipe and the valve itself. Although the instructions said that the pipework needed to be dry, I fitted the tape while water was still leaking out, and that did not seem to be a problem. The tape fuses to itself, but not immediately, so there is a small amount of time to correct small mistakes in the positioning of the tape. Although it would have been best to fit one continuous piece of tape, because of the awkward position of the pipe I fitted the tape in three separate lengths of 25cm each. The separate sections fused together and it did not seem to be a problem. The pipe was under mains pressure, but the tape stayed firm with no leakage for 48 hours before the plumber arrived. The tape did exactly what the product description said it would do.
