Reolink 4K Outdoor Security Camera, WiFi CCTV Cameras, TrackMix WiFi

It took me around 90 minutes to install the Trackmix, mainly because of the height of the soffit and the need to balance at the top of a ladder while screwing the camera into place. The configuration was simple, and it worked almost flawlessly from the start. More on that to follow. I purchased the Trackmix to replace a Lumus, which covered my front door and garden path. The Lumus did a good job at a bargain price. However, it’s only wireless and a pain in the neck to keep connected to the router. Two brick walls in the way didn’t help. A version of the Lumus with an external antenna and even an Ethernet socket would be great. But that doesn’t exist. The Trackmix is overkill for my purpose, but it seems to have the same angle of view as the Lumus, and that is what I need most. As previously mentioned, there was a problem. I store video files locally on a PC, but I couldn't play them. I googled the problem and found a free codec package for my PC. Included was a video player that works better than those included with Windows. If anyone has the same problem, leave me a question about it. Now all is well, and I have a simultaneous wide-angle view of the front door and a zoomed-in view of the doorstep. I should also mention the sound, which is much better than the Lumus. I have yet to listen to someone speaking on the doorstep, but I can clearly hear conversations of people passing my garden gate, some 20 feet away.

I decided to buy one of these as the reviews were very good and Amazon were doing a great deal on them @ £131. Arrived yesterday and the first thing that stood out was how well presented the packaging was, the box was amazing quality, this was a very good start for me. In the box was everything you needed and more. Including an extension for the power and an Ethernet cable which you apparently needed to complete the setup. I’m not sure if I did need it but I plugged it into my router as was advised as part of the setup. The install couldn’t have been easier and connection to my 5ghz network was straightforward. When i first run the Reolink App/ software I thought the quality wasn’t as good as I’d hoped, this was soon rectified when I changed to the highest 4k resolution and the highest on camera zoom in. Now I’m very impressed, absolutely fantastic quality right to the end of my road both ways. There is a fair bit to do to get the best out of this camera as it is quite advanced, but it all appears to be in the Reolink App, but it’s all good fun, it just needs time to get the best out of it. I have it mounted high on my property and my whole front garden is very well covered day and night. Pitch black outside and with the infa red it’s like daylight. When you have it set to colour, again incredibly good. Well i’m so impressed with this camera that I’ve bought a second one for the rear of my house and as it’s being sold at £131 I thought I’d snap up a bargain before it’s back to the full price. Really I would highly recommend this camera, if you register it, Reolink will give you 2 years 6 months warranty As I said there are lots of settings and to get the best out of it you will have to play with it, but it’s all easy to do in the app, but one last thing worth doing straight away is find the bit that controls the PTZ, movement of the camera and stick in a load of camera positions, this way when you click on the positions you’ve saved the camera moves to that position really quick. I love this product and so far I would say if you are looking for a decent well made fully featured security camera at a bargain price then this is it without any question 100%. Easy to install, with sufficient lead to connect to the power supply, but I can understand others needing more. Easy to setup and connect to my WIFI and phone app. WIFI connection is robust, unlike other cameras I have used, 'ding-dong'. Image quality is relatively high and functional capabilities are very good, - dual lens tracking, night vision (IR) and single lens optical zoom, as is the ease of data recall from the file repository. As with most cameras of this type, despite image quality being good, there are occasions when details are elusive, but this is generally the result of motion blur / object movement speed, distance and lighting. Night vision, like most cameras of this type is subject to artifacts, but still usable. App. has user friendly interface and provides access to the functions you'd expect and most people would use / need. I have yet to try running the outputs via an Alexa (Show) or a TV, but I will do in the future, although other cameras (including Alexa camera devices) don't always work in this sense, even with Alexa as an imbedded application (on the TV)

Having previously tried four solar battery powered cameras, this wired camera is by far the best. The others took too long to wake from sleep mode, had rubbish PIR detection or failed to connect to WiFi. While this camera is WiFi enabled, I run it from an ethernet cable feeding a WiFi repeater simply because the repeater was a spare and I thought that this would be a good way to use it, otherwise I would have been utilising the camera's WiFi. The detection and tracking are excellent. I reckon they are image rather than PIR driven. Rain at night triggers the detection as it did with all my previous cameras, but this is not an issue for me as I do not rely on notifications or alarms because the camera is on 24/7 recording. I use the Reolink app which I find to be very comprehensive and easy to use. The camera records to an sd card and seamlessly overwrites the earliest recordings when the card reaches capacity. Only reason I have given 4 as opposed to 5 stars is that the zoom is not optical, but again it suits my needs OK. Overall I am very pleased with this camera and have no problem recommending it to others.

Very good camera's. I bought two of these for the all round surveillance, they are very good but with a few drawbacks, but you can work around them if you are a bit tech savvy. I installed one at the front of the house and one at the rear. The full viewing angle I estimate is about 90 Deg, so if you want 180 Deg constant surveillance, these aren't for you, however, there are things you can do. The best thing worth having is the auto tracking and AI detection, it's very good most of the time, actually impressive. So the work around, Reolink very helpfully expose the API's meaning theoretically you can get the cam to do what every you want within its physical limits. The cam I have in the back garden can't quite see the sides of the house, both of which can be accessed, so I setup as patrol schedule in code so the cam moves to set positions on a schedule to do a quick check. The trick is, not to disturb the cam when it's tracking something or something is going but still move it around to get a full view. Mine works like this: 1. Set Cam to position 1 (Main Position) for 9 minutes 2. Spend 60 seconds checking to see if it's doing any sort of tracking or if there is movement, if there is, restart the 60 seconds timer. 3. After 60 seconds of nothing happening, move camera to position 2 (Left View), set as guard point, wait 1 minute, 60 second anything happening check. 4. Move to position 3 (right view), set guard point, repeat wait and check. 5 . Move to position 4 (Top of garden), set guard point, repeat wait and check. 6. Back to first position, repeat all, If you want you could also randomise the positions so a pattern can't be established, I did that after. Works really well, I did something similar with the front cam too but it doesn't move until after the quitter times in the day and goes back to main guard position in the morning to do it's main job. All in all, the PTZ combined with the AI tracking and API access provides a very versatile platform that can do a lot with. Yes, I worry the equipment lifetime may be shortened by the additional periodic movement, but probably not by much.

Great product. Easy to setup. Very good image quality. Wish I had opted for poe variant as had set as wifi initially however had issues with qaulity due to interference with too many wifi device. This wifi model has option for wired but no poe so was still able to use. Would definitely recommend but check if wifi is suitable otherwise opt for poe variant. Solid product.

Seems to be a fairly good cctv camera with pan and tilt with zoom. The app is good and it integrates pretty well with Home Assistant. It would have been a 5 star review but for one thing and this is a major one that has made it unusable for the purpose I bought it for. The position I want to put it in unfortunately overlooks my neighbours. Not a problem, I thought as it has the ability to blank out an area one the camera so I’ll be able to show him I can’t see into his garden, however the blank out functionality is badly thought out for pan, tilt, zoom cameras as its fixed on the camera and does not take into account the panning. What is the point of blanking out say the left hand side of the image if I can rotate the camera and then see the very area I blanked out. All that does is make part of the camera not usable. They should disable it as functionality for the PTZ cameras and not sell it with the functionality as a feature because it’s completely useless unless they can take account of the angle of the pan and interactively move the blanking area when the camera is panned. So it’s going to go in my back garden now, which is fine but not the reason why I bought it. Now waiting for the zoomable fixed vandal proof dome camera wifi version that is going to be released shortly.

What can I say? I have never felt so compelled to give my thoughts on a product from Amazon! This camera is AMAZING. Not only do you get one lens, but two - so you can have one zoomed in and one for a wider shot. The software doesn't require ANY subscript or cloud-based storage. It was as easy as popping in a 32 GB SD card and off you go. The software is a dream to use compared with cheaper brands. It just works, the desktop app is fluid and quick, the same for the IOS app. Everything just works. I was happy to see with little involvement from it automatically started capturing snippets when there was activity happening. It meant to had started to capture guests to my bird feeder. I had tried cheaper brands before thinking I was getting value for money, but had nothing but problems with them, apps crashing, camera needed rebooting and so on. This was well worth the extra few quid - highly recommended! If you're thinking of getting one, then just do it. You won't be let down!

Fungerar klockrent. Väldigt bra mörkerseende. Fångade norrsken på film som man inte kunde se med sina egna ögon. Har totalt 4 Reolink av olika slag och är över lag nöjd.

Caméra facilement installable avec ou sans HOME ASSISTANT, qui respire la qualité (carter en aluminium , double réseau WIFI + ETHERNET, poids d'un 1kg environ) et fonctionnalités IA excellentes, doublées d'un zoom optique. 1 véritable caméra PTZ avec suivi des animaux, humains ou véhicules. Sans compter une appli REOLINK qui est traduite correctement et qui est compréhensible ....ça mérite d'être souligné à en juger par les applis chinoises traduites avec IA qui sont souvent illisibles . Certes le prix est élevé mais 1 caméra de cette qualité fait le boulot de 2 caméras de qualité moyenne .

Esta cámara es más cara que la mayoría que podemos encontrar pero merece la pena, ¿Por qué digo esto?: - Tiene una construcción muy solida pesa una bestialidad comparada con otras, lo que indica que es muy robusta. - Es compatible con Home Assistant, es decir tiene una integración con Home Assistant lo que permite tener mucha información de la cámara a parte del ver las imágenes. - Es compatible ONVIF. - En la aplicación móvil, no necesitas darte de alta para poder configurar la cámara, es opcional, la primera vez que veo esto, en otras aplicaciones siempre debes darte de alta. - Tiene una web para configurar la cámara, lo que no siempre es posible con otras marcas. - En modo nocturno se ve fenomenal como se ven en las fotografías de información. - Los movimientos del PTZ son suaves lo que confirma que la construcción es robusta. - No necesita conexión a internet para poder usar/configurar la cámara. En resumen merece la pena pagar algo más por más calidad y si además te preocupa la información que se envía a exterior por las cámaras esta la puedes bloquear en el router y no limita al funcionalidad.

Die Reolink-Kamera ist bei mir bereits seit längerer Zeit im Einsatz und funktioniert nach wie vor einwandfrei. Bisher gab es keinerlei Ausfälle oder Probleme. Die Bildqualität ist sowohl tagsüber als auch nachts sehr gut, und alle Funktionen arbeiten zuverlässig. Die Einrichtung war einfach und die App ist übersichtlich und leicht zu bedienen. Bewegungsmeldungen, Live-Ansicht und Aufzeichnungen funktionieren zuverlässig. Insgesamt bin ich mit der Kamera sehr zufrieden und kann sie aufgrund ihrer stabilen und zuverlässigen Leistung uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.
