What you need to know about rip off printer companies.
Value for money: forget it. It is a rip off. Alternative sources have in the past provided equally suitable supplies at around 1/3 the price. Now in the age of smart chipped cartridges Brother an HP are creaming it. Ink is a pigment in volatile solvent. It is not rocket science. Come on Elon!Thermal print paper is good enough now that miniature electronics are so refined. Imagine no ink.Performance: Can you tell the difference ?, quite simply no you can not printing to copier paper. May be if you are using photoprint paper, and for me that is seldom. In the age of Internet banking, insurance, holiday details and receipts and confirmation of purchase, everything can be printed Black and white. There is a need for a much cheaper B&W printer only. Come on you rip off merchants be the first and save the planet.Compatibilty: It is now forced compatibility. I give you an example. I was given an HP printer by a very very mature lady who no longer used it.She delighted in the fact that she had fitted new ink some time before and but it still had life in it.I installed it to my computer and tried a print. The printer noted that the cartridges where out of date and refused to print. WTF!I was obliged to fit OEM cartridges to my own Brother printer because it would not use any other. Rip off 2I used to have an Epson printer and used a bulk ink system for economy.I think Epson killed that idea off to. Maybe rip off 3An A4 sheet feed B&W printer using thermal paper at less than copier paper prices but less than £80 for the printer, would be sensible. Discerning users may still buy the overpriced colour printers if they wish to continue being mugged.

64 sheets of heavy gloss B&W .. and i'm still using the b&w starter pack!.. XP sits waiting!! Top notch sir!
The quality of finish compared to the cheaper options is very noticeable. As a photographer who spends a lot on printers i have to say i feel I would be wasting my funds if i were to use either inferior inks or print materials.the Black cartridge has just done 4 x 16 page tiled posters of Bowie in an almost totally dark room filled with the smoke from his Gitanes Cigarette, You may think it quite a straightforward /B&W print run, but on the contrary , the fine grainy gradients between light and dark are hard enough (at 600dpi) , but to get a 'Photo Finish' on his puff of smoke over satin sleeves could look awful, or, as in this instance, look as smooth and gritty as the original room would have looked as this epic image was captured . Excellent Inks . Excellent Innobella Brother Satin Papers.Oh, and btw, all that was printed on the 'starter pack' inks , i used all my colour inks printing postcards on Kodak Premium Plus Gloss photo paper from a stack of Postcard scale Kodak pars in the rear tray, so they are onto 'XL' but my Black cartridge looks like it could handle another project before fitting the 5000 sheet Bumper Thickness Black XL cartridge. Top Stuff (stick with your manufacturers media and all will be well imo!)

Could be cheaper
Ink is expensive as we all know. It's fantastic quality. I found the cheaper ones leak or damage my printer. You definitely get what you pay for, for sure. But it is expensive. If you don't print too often then it's worth a buy. Depends on your needs.

Apology to the delivery person and thanks
I apologise. I did not immediately find my parcel as it was in a different place to my instructions in the case of absence. I found it and it was fine.
