Great Value, Low Cost Radio, Tunes In, Good Audio, Fun to own.
I bought this for nostalgic reasons. I just wanted to buy a little radio I could take anywhere and listen wherever I go. I thought it would be fun. When I was a 12 year old kid in the very early1960's in a remote area of Southern Wyoming, I had a transistor radio Mom and Dad bought for me. It was so much fun to carry around in shirt or pants pocket and tune in a station to listen to on my own when working or playing in the fields.I have to say, I understand today why it was so much fun then, because it still is today. The tuner is small and very delicate (just like back then) except it actually tunes in far better. It takes a bit of time (a few seconds if you know the frequency you want) to get right on your station, but when you do, it stays tuned in very nicely with no static or cross-talk like the old ones had. Audio quality is really far better than you would expect for such a small package, far better that the ones I had as a kid. Reception is good even for remote stations. I listen in my house, out fishing, or anywhere I go. As much fun today as ever before.

Could have been a contender
I put this on my bicycle using a cellphone holder. I had the radio about one week and was using it for the third time. I was riding at night and all of a sudden, the radio went silent. I put a flashlight on it and discovered the antenna had fallen off. I now have a paperweight that looks like a radio. In the short time I had the radio, I did not notice any degradation of the batteries, and I suspect the run time is above average. The speaker is decent for a small inexpensive radio. Reception is definitely above average. It pulled in five times the stations of another inexpensive radio I had tried. It also held the stations well, whereas the other radio would have fade in and out.The manufacturer could make one huge improvement, however, by simply gearing down the tuner. The tuner covers the entire range of frequencies in just two spins, which makes it extremely difficult to center on a station. A slower tuner would make the radio much more user friendly.All-in-all, not a bad radio if it had lasted more than one week.Note: I revised my rating to 4-stars from 1-star because the company came through with a full replacement.

Came Intact But Nonfunctional
I work well with electronics and I have worked with all kinds my entire life so I feel very confident to say that there was no damage to the radio itself however when initially opened and put batteries inside of, the on light would turn on when switched to the on position but the radio itself would not make any noise or leave any signal to show that it's working other than that light. without having to open it up I can only say that it probably was the speaker getting damaged through shipping or something else that caused an issue or the malfunction that occurred. I will say though for the price you get what you get and is cheap so if it got damaged it happens. and to give it some good reviews I will say that it is a comfortable sized radio the controls are in it wonderful positioning for easy use and it is a very well designed aesthetically and usability wise. if the radio were to be working I would give it 5 out of 5 stars no questions asked however since I do not have a working radio I cannot review whether the actual signal is good enough or if it's a quality sounding radio or if they even picks up the signal well and maybe it's just a fuzzy. but anything that doesn't have to do with the signal or sound which I cannot comment on I will say is designed very well to give the benefit of a doubt.

Great compact size with clear sound.
This is a throwback to bygone days when transistor radios first appeared on the market. They were were very compact and easy to carry. Although not the greatest sound quality, this serves exactly what I need it to do. It can be the perfect emergency radio since it is powered by batteries and I keep it near my workbench in the garage to generally play football or baseball games while I'm working. Everything about this is analog so very easy to use and inexpensive.

Small, attractive radio
This radio works well. Small enough to put into a pocket or a handbag, or just about anywhere. Batteries rather than a cord make it easily portable. The local FM public broadcasting station is received clearly. And the red color is quite pretty—and easy to locate.

Excellent little radio!
I wanted to get an "old school" portable radio to attach to my bike for Summer riding and couldn't find an old one anywhere or for the right price. So I decided I would buy a new one that acted like an old one but was afraid I just couldn't find one since they don't make things like that anymore! Well, let me tell you, this one does the job! It's a bit lighter in weight than an old school one but the sound on this was excellent, clear, and picked up a ton of stations even before I pulled the antenna out! Yes, ANTENNA! I am so happy with this little radio! It is everything I was looking for! It takes 2 AA batteries (way cheap) and it barely uses any battery power to work (radios never do). I miss the days of before, when things were simple. This little radio brought me back to the 1980s :) Also, the shipping was 1 day, yes, I ordered on Saturday and it was delivered on Sunday and the company even emailed saying they hoped I was happy with radio and that if there were any problems at all, they would promptly take care of it and that customer satisfaction is #1! They were right. I HIGHLY recommend this company and their products!
