Satisfies your design need when you don't want to spend a lot.
These island stools are practical for me right now. My 5 year old can get on/off them easily. If they did tip onto him they are light. But he knows not to push back on them because they could tip like any chair/stool. I didn't use the hardware for the bottom because I didn't want to scratch my hardwood floors so I placed felt circles on them instead. They work well and don't look too bad. I was disappointed by the stitching, however. I ordered these quickly so I didn't catch this detail. It annoys me as I prefer a modern/mid century look but that's okay as I had planned to replace them in about 5 years anyway. The seat is comfortable and that's important. The finish came with a weird spot on it (see photo) which I'm hoping isn't going to occur again after being used for awhile. The gray is warm which worked for me as I mix both warm and cool grays throughout my house. They came packaged well. The black finish on the legs is nice and durable so putting your feet on the middle bar isn't going to damage them. For the super picky I included a photo of the bottom fabric coming up the side and the fold of material that looks like what you'd see on a wrapped present. But you get what you pay for.

Comfortable and last longing!
Love them! Bought 2 over a year ago and they are still perfect and sturdy! Just bought 2 more to complete my new big kitchen counter!
