These are more like waterprrof pants than period pants. Ideal for a child just starting their menstrual cycles and my daughter has been wearing them with small towles and party liners. I don't think they are very absorbant and I wouldnt feel confiden tin her just using these on her period, but they are really useful for those couple of days of soptting at the end and fit well as she very small with a skinny wasit.
