Poor quality, hurts your eyes!
Very poor quality.1. The lens is plastic, not glass. Hence it is very blurry and also has concentric circles with visible borders which does not help looking through it as well. Your eyes start hurting immediately!Tried it for both reading and sewing. Awful.2. Do not fall for a long arm, if you extend it over than halfway, the base tips over. Probably is ok when you use the clamp though. The whole structure is quite flimsy as well.One star because it fails to do its job. Impossible to look through!

Disapointed
The base is much to heavy for the frame, the perspex is so thin I am too scared to use it. The first one arrived with a large crack on the perspex so I had to request another one. I would not have purchased this had I know how thin the perspex was.

Not for fine intricate work
The magnification works well as long as you don't need to do fine, intricate work. The lense has 'facets' over the whole area & doesn't give a clear image. It would probably be OK for reading but not for jewellery making.

Came damaged but was promptly replaced. Bought for an elderly neighbour who had difficulty reading the newspaper. Has done the job.

Weak joint at magnifier end.
Useful lens, and the stand is pretty good, but it is unusable as the final joint that holds the lens is weak plastic and will droop no matter how tight you wind up the lock nut. Extremely disappointed at this piece of cheaply made garbage. Not recommended!

You'd be better off attempting to look more closely at something through your granny's broken old glasses!Very, very, efficient at effecting an almost instant eye strain & headache should that be your requirement?
