Made in Vermont, USA, this lead-free, non-toxic, and food-safe glaze is designed for professional and passionate potters seeking reliable, sustainable, and visually dynamic results. Each purchase supports arts education and comes with a lifetime warranty, making it the smart, socially conscious choice for your creative studio. ## Description Penguin Pottery’s glazes offer a huge range of effects to choose from: vivid, bright, smooth, glossy, textured, satin, matte; opaque, semi-opaque, semi-translucent, translucent, flowing, non-flowing. ## Features - COLOR PROFILE - White Flux is a flowing, semi-opaque glaze that creates soft white layers over underlying colors. It develops a foamy, fluid texture with subtle streaking and feathered edges, especially where it breaks over darker glazes. The surface is glossy, with slight variation in thickness that enhances movement and depth. - CONE 5–6 MID-FIRE - Formulated for mid-fire kilns at cone 5 and cone 6 (about 2167–2232°F). Always fire in a calibrated pottery kiln, never a kitchen oven, so your results match the swatch. - GLOSSY, SEMI-TRANSLUCENT FINISH - Fires to a glossy shine that lets some of the clay body show through, so color deepens where the glaze pools over edges, carving and texture. - READY TO BRUSH & LAYER - Ready to brush straight from the jar. Layer it over or under other glazes for new effects; test first, since thickness and firing change the result. - ART MATERIAL - Conforms to ASTM D-4236 art materials standard. Suitable for surfaces that come into contact with food or drink when fired to the specified cone on the product label. Crazing, pinholing or blistering makes a surface unsuitable; test your own clay and firing. - CONSCIENTIOUSLY MANUFACTURED - At Penguin Pottery, our core values are simple: manufacture responsibly in the USA, craft exceptional products, and support the pottery community by donating 1% of our sales to school programs, community centers, and disaster relief for artists. - LIFETIME WARRANTY - Penguin Pottery products are backed by our Lifetime Warranty. If you have any issues, we will give you a refund or replace your product. See warranty & support section for more information. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0BQRW6S3B | | Brand | Penguin Pottery | | Color | White | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (72) | | Date First Available | 25 December 2022 | | Item Weight | 730 g | | Material | Ceramic | | Model Number | PP-GZ-MH-400 | | Product Dimensions | 7.62 x 7.62 x 8.89 cm; 730 g | ## Images ![Penguin Pottery Glazes - Mid Fire - Flux Series - Flux Glaze, White - Cone 6 (16 fl.oz | 1 Pint | 473 ml) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71yTTbADFWL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is the Flux glaze simular to the Flux by Maco flux in end results..?** A: Yes. ## Frequently Bought Together - Penguin Pottery Glazes - Mid Fire - Flux Series - White - Cone 6-16oz - Penguin Pottery - Specialty Series - Floating Blue - Mid Fire Glaze, High Fire Glaze, Cone 5-6 for Mid Fire Clay, High Fire Clay - Ceramic Glaze Pottery (1 Pint | 16 oz | 473 ml) - Penguin Pottery - Celadon Series - Candy Apple Red - Mid Fire Glaze, High Fire Glaze, Cone 5-6 for Mid Fire Clay, High Fire Clay - Ceramic Glaze Pottery (1 Pint | 16 oz | 473 ml) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/502700278-penguin-pottery-glazes-mid-fire-flux-series-flux-glaze-white](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/502700278-penguin-pottery-glazes-mid-fire-flux-series-flux-glaze-white) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-11-07*
